These things are like 35" in height alone, give or take. You need to have like a proper display area to collect anything at this size I feel. Sadly I don't have that, I barely can do 1/4, but this, Cap, and Magneto all look amazing.

Def love the base. Out of the three, I dislike cap a base the most

Just a heads up for everyone. Have your sharp eyes ready for our big reveal on the 4th September!! Keep yourselves locked on to the XM Facebook Page, Website and also their Youtube channel for the PO details.

Can't express how excited I am for this piece. If you thought Cap was good, it ain't got nothing on this piece

Dont forget to look at XM FB and website tonight guys for our full colour reveal and PO details! Look forward to your comments

It would be nice if the hammer head was a separate attachment for after the hand is connected, that way the owner could have the side with the inscription either facing the body or on the outside away from it.

I get that the base is so detailed they expect most will use it as a centerpiece with full 360 access, so the inscription works fine like that. But it would be nicer to have the option yourself.

I'm still surprised they didn't specifically allow for Caps shield to be in his left hand in both torso configurations, instead only having it for the finger pointing one.

That's an unfortunately needless restriction on such an otherwise awesome statue.

I think the left hand holding the shield can be placed on both torsos. Someone had a photo of all 3 shields on Cap (back, right hand, left hand).

This statue is absolutely beautiful but I will not have any space to display with a 20"x20" base, if I had I probably will have pre-ordered it. Hard to pass on it, but I'll probably be holding out for the new XM Cap 1/4 instead.

It technically can be fitted onto that shoulder- but it's not designed for it and as such is not securely fastened when on it.

You can do it for a one-off picture, but I wouldn't keep it on like that.

Pre-orders went live today and the difference in response between this versus Cap is a little surprising.

Their Captain America is simply magnificent, and very well designed from an end user experience stand point.

Thor looks ever bit as spectacular in the photos, and will likely be even more impressive than Cap in person.

I just pre-ordered this guy from Spec Fiction. I was trying my best to talk myself out of it but 1:3 scale Marvel is hard to pass on.

What they did with Cap was to have one peg on the one foot- but two holes on the base so that the owner can display it with the figure facing the front with the eagle head or the back without it.

I assume they will do the same for Thor so that you can have different bas-relief scenes prominently in front however you choose, as well as switching it up on occasion.

Despite the seemingly muted response here, LBS is technically sold out now- but stock should still available from some dealers for a little while yet.

I think it just means that dealers/distributors can't re-up more units once they sell out their current allocations.

As I don't have a Thor yet, I think this is the most definitive Thor there will ever be (movie or comic). Base is big, but I think a piece like this should be displayed alone anyways.

XM Studios News

"XM Studios, in collaboration with Legendary Beast Studios is proud to present the God of Thunder THOR! Hot off the heels of the sold-out Captain America, this is the 2nd in the line of the 1/3 Premium Format series, adding to our imposing Avengers line. Displaying the absolute power of a God, this statue is expressing Thor in all of his true form and nature. Looking down on those that would come against him, he stands tall and strong above those beneath him. Capture under his feet is the true story of his people and himself, with the saga of Ragnarok laid bare for all to see.

Thor, the God of Thunder, the son of Odin, the Asgardian prince, wields the mystical mallet Mjolnir as he protects innocents across the realms on his own and as a member of the Avengers. He takes his name from the inscription on his famous weapon. Thor was born to the King of the Asgardian Gods, Odin Borson, and the Earth Goddess Gaea. He grew up in Asgard under Odin's tutelage and trained in his footsteps to one day lead Asgard."

This is nice, but the body sculpt just doesn't fit what I picture Thor to look like. Especially for a classic Thor.
