i can't honestly believe that..character differences aside, the jean pf is terrible..its awful…phoenix, so far, looks pretty good. I'm not going to get into specifics and debate about it, but honestly its a no-contest, unanimous decision.. saying things like their designs are uninspired though or they all look crappy just makes urself lose credibility..while some look bad (iron man), some look pretty damn good (wolverine, magneto)…and if you want to throw out the words uninspired and say that some lack creativity, I would love to hear your opinion on the 'X' bases that SS used for the x-men pf line..to me, thats the definition of lazy and crappy (not the pieces themselves, just those god-awful bases)

Your opinion, initially, held no weight bcz you gave SS credit for clearly obvious bad designs while bashing XM's clearly better looking stuff. Moving past that your simply saying it sucks..why does it suck..if you don't like that piece fine? Whats wrong with either wolverine or magneto? The pose/build of mags overall is pretty damn creative and original as hell, is it not? (sitting in a sentinel hand) And unless you've seen their pieces in-hand, how can you speak to their 'lack of quality?'

However, the latter begins with a terrible design (Jim Lee's) and although awkward in pose and lacking beauty, there is more going on there than Phoenix's generic pose that amounts to little more than a naked girl projecting a complete lack of sex. The dynamics are utterly stunted.

And, no. I see nothing special about Magneto. It hasn't been done before? So what?

No i mean just hideous, regardless of likeness. Cap looks Asian and Hawkeye just looks weird. I'm not bashing XM nor saying all the pieces are hideous. Just for that kinda dough ill wait for SS. Those prices are something you'd pay in a commission for 50 ES or less and potentially with shipping.

Also if a pose like Magneto hasn't been done, that wouldn't be considered generic, more so as original.

I'm not trying to sway your opinion. You got every point to dislike the pieces. But how was that not smiting? Mr. Green had it right, he too did not like it, but doesn't go into the extremes to try and start something.

You want to understand the love? Many things are considered, people like Sosa, people think Artgerm does good art, XM listens to customer feedback, they offer many things that other companies do not (example: Black Widow has 2 bases, 4 different weapons, 2 change of heads, a bust to display, and art print); closest thing to offer that much by a company, I'd say would be Deadpool exclusive PF, and yet still doesn't compare.

It's pointless really, this debate. Why? Well because each side is subjective to their own ideas as to what they consider great or bad. If you truly did not like it, all you needed to say was, I do not like XM's work, so I wouldn't care for them to have the DC license. Simple, done.

J, international people spend as much if not more for SS product. It's preference to what's closer. Besides the newly done Cap and Hawkeye are great, they don't update their site, it's all shown with IHP. Apparently the new Iron Man looks amazing, and Pepper head actually looks like Paltrow

I think the XM stuff is pretty variable. Their Hawkeye looks great, but Wolverine, Cap, and others look weird, sometimes awkward, and a bit generic. Reminiscent of something you would see from a bootleg statue sculpt. Though I haven't been bowled over by any of the XM stuff though, I hope they do well enough to make Sideshow take serious notice. Because Sideshow has had no real competition for the stuff that they do in the statue game, and because of that we often get sub-par products, either in design, sculpt, or production. That recent T2 statue is a good example.

On the other hand, HT as 1/6 competition hasn't really forced SSC to up their game, so maybe it wouldn't make a difference

Idk how people don't like wolverine's sculpt, the overall piece of mags, and hawk eye to me looked pretty darn good, although I wouldn't buy it just bcz of the character…I can find little things about each piece I don't like…even in the ones I have on PO…but thats different than saying they flat out suck…I thought king hulk was okay; it didn't knock my socks off but I can def see how people would like it…i didn't go off saying flagrant remarks (not saying ne1 is) and going deep in…again as I originally stated idc enough to debate it with someone…prior to this there hasn't been a 1/4 scale mags. I prefer the fully sculpted look of wolverine on a sentinel head base with 3 different heads and 3 different hand attachments over the SS wolverine. Its also the first 1/4 scale phoenix piece ever made…they r trying to give us what we want, thats for sure

People like what they like, and while I disagree with just about EVERYTHING that devil has said, I also realize that the argument is pretty much pointless, and to get baited anyfurhter into it is just as pointless. Sometimes it is better not to take the bait.

SS been on a decline lately... their paint apps have been horrible..... Soooo disappointed with MOS and Red Sonja....

Not all just some, and I have heard a lot of not so obsessive folks glowing about the paint apps in Sonja. Do you have both in hand?

XM's QC with their inspection and touch ups from their artists is a nice touch. At least I know what I'm getting is pretty close to a prototype piece.

Also has anyone had to exchange any damaged pieces? How has the customer sevice been? With SS I'm exchanging something out every few orders.
