As for the quality I am going to stay cautious for awhile. They got it damn right with 500 in a year time. What happens when they have several mass produced lines going out all at once will be the true test. Can they hold that level of quality when they have 10 000 statues going out in a year... Or 6 months will be the true measure.

Agreed that XM still has to prove they can hold down th QC end if things. If they keep doing what they are doing though and remain humble then I believe we are all in for a treat. Since QC seems to be the primary focus of the company I just don't see it changing. If they make more statues they they will hire more help. Seems logical to me

If XM can keep up this QC, most of my collection will end up being from XM. The Captain America is stunning, the paint just pops. I know Cap is their first piece but was SS that good back in their prime? Mags, Wolverine and Phoenix are already considered bought. Being a huge X-Men fan, I see no reason to pass on these. Can't wait to see what others they have planned for this line.

Yes, Sideshow's early releases were perfection. I still think Sideshow's original Captain American is the best of the best (I like the cloth) and when you see the original Doom, Hulk, and some of their dios in person, you can understand why some of us old-school collectors feel a bit jaded. There is a reason that the originals demand such high prices.

I see what your saying, I have not seen any of those in hand and no high resolution pics can really capture that. About the high aftermarket prices, I know the quality was there but wasn't it also due to a much lower ES?

I can attest to this as well. I've had em all. Doom, both Hulk Pfs, Thor, Cap, Abom. You name it. They were the best of the best with some exceptions of course. SS has had some great stuff after and recently. Nothing like back in the day though. There's something about a 50 lb hulk staring back at you that just screams quality

I do wish I was collecting at that time, would love to snag gray Hulk PF and Cap at retail. 50 lb Hulk, dayuum! Do you still have those PFs or did you end up selling them.

the original SS Cap is superb..but so is the XM Cap..I rate them even..either way u will pay big bucks for them now and or later..2 great grails

Nope. Sold every one of them. I didn't get in at retail either buddy. Paid a handsome dollar to own them. Although I enjoyed them throughly the amount if money I had tied up in those alone was enough to fund this years POs! Just decided to oust the old and bring in the new versions. Timing was good because we've got a new hulk, doom, cap, Thor! Haha you name it they're coming. Even have a classic Thor coming from XM to replace my old SS one. Abom was truly an underrated beast but the damn thing was so big he wouldn't fit anywhere! They are missed but I got over it quicker then expected

I can relate on spending a good penny on older pieces, now I am content with waiting for newer ones to be released. I hear you on having too much money tied up in statues, especially with an ever growing PO list. At least you enjoyed the hell out of them while you had it.

I do wish I didn't miss out on the Resinworx Wolverine vs Ninjas, had no clue that company existed. I am happy to not have that much on PO (Supes/WW) as XM is really commanding my attention.
