So I just saw this in person tonight, and damn it is a fantastic piece. The paint apps are stellar, and the design is amazing. I would never pay over retail for this, but that is only because I don't really care about having Magneto in my collection. For me it would actually be pushing it to purchase this at retail just because of shipping and import fees, but again only because I don't love Mags. If I was getting it in Singapore for $500 I would jump on this in a second.

However, I'm so glad I was able to lock one down (with help from a friend). After receiving Mags, I'm floored by the way he turned out. I needed a 1/4 Mags for my collection and I can't imagine seeing a better one getting released by any other company. I can't afford every XM piece I want but my next piece is Thanos and I have no doubt he'll look incredible if Mags is any indication of what to expect. For certain characters, I'm willing to drop the $$$. For me, Mags and Thanos definitely qualified. I just wish I could have picked up Phoenix too.

Honestly, m8 it is an amazing piece. I saw it with the Original Hulk PF, the Batman on the Lion, and the Dark Rider and he definitely had a presence sitting next to all of those large heavy hitters. It is amazing.

He can have that opinion man. I think the statue is awesome. I don't have a huge interest in owning a statue of this character either...

I've been guilty of that too. Stuff grows on me, or I notice stuff I don't like and change my opinion. IE reveals being awesome, then prices being too much. Haha

Well, that's understandable if a piece is in development and you get glimpses of it as it's undergoing changes.

But, with this being in hand for collectors already the community has pretty much agreed the pitch has been knocked completely out of the park.

So his posts just make no sense to me b/c he couldn't pay $500, or $1000, or $1500, or $2000, maybe not $2500 for this even if he was interested in the subject matter at this point.

Lol... Learn to read, now you are just looking for excuses to pick a fight. The import fees and shipping on this raise the price out of my range for a character I don't LOVE and have to have. Pure and simple. That doesn't take ANYTHING away from the sculpt or the paint app or the general AMAZING artistry that went into this piece. It simply means it isn't a piece I need to have in my collection because I don't care about having a Magneto. If they capture magic in the bottle again with a Spiderman or Green Hulk release it could be a whole other story. I posted in this thread because I just wanted to state how great the piece is. Any fan of Mags who loves the character and collects these things will be kicking themselves to the end of time if they don't get one.... It is that damn good.

As for your obsession with hopping all over me whenever I post in an XM thread... Well, get the hell over it. I have been thanked by the guys at XM over and over again for the input and opinions I have provided. If they are fine with what I have to say then your opinion ...."blah blah blah"

But in all fairness...anyone who has been involved in this hobby for an extended period of time has flip flopped on a piece. Personally I must have flip flopped a million times on whether or not I liked or even still wanted the WW PF. It happens man...

Again learn to read... I said if I was paying $500 in Singapore, and I didn't have to pay all the taxes and import fees, I would buy it in a heart beat, but I won't spend more than twice that for a character I don't love.

pl4n3t these guys are definitely just trolling around on this thread like you said why are they even here if they don't care about the statue or the character. Honestly i've heard a lot of people who say they aren't big magneto fans say this is one of the most impressive pieces they have ever seen. That being said I'm a big mags fan he's my favorite marvel character so are people like me gonna throw 2k+ at this thing? heck yeah no regrets.
