How many stacked cardboard shipping boxes do you recommend using to display him at a proper height?

Sort of just noticed something after looking on XM's website. The unmasked portrait they have on there doesn't have mags starting at the cerebro helmet but has him looking somewhat straight on. Mine has him looking at the helmet. Is everyone's the same as mine?

Yep it's the same, they changed shortly after the first pics surfaced, their website is full of old pictures (like the ones of the MK42). Glad they did btw, staring at Cerebro adds depth to the character.

Anything under $3000 is a pretty good price. $3000 or more seems to be the going rate right now.

I would say if you are going to buy it at that price try to see it in person first. Though a great piece some have been underwhelmed for the price of it

Underwhelmed with it at the original price or at the aftermarket price? I can see the aftermarket price but in no way is this underwhelming at the original price.

Mostly aftermarket, but I have heard it said when this was goin for retail. I know I thought I had dodged a hype bullet when I passed up one at retail and then saw it in person. However that is only because I don't care about Magneto. Now if I could have gotten it for retail IN Singapore that would have been a different story.

It's the most impressive piece I have personally but full disclaimer....I'm huge huge Magneto fan. I got both of mine at basically retail pricing. When you start talking paying aftermarket $3k prices it should be a character you truly love.

As a statue, imo, it's easily one of the best comic statues out there, most likely the best. I've seen most comic "grails" in person and can't think of one that compares when it comes to details and capturing the essence of the character. Huge Magneto fan here too. I'm also a huge Doom fan too but wouldn't spend more than 500$ for Doom on throne, to make a comparison. In a world where statues like Ms Marvel PF and She Hulk PF go for 1000-1500$, yeah, Magneto is totally worth 3000$.
And keep in mind this is talking about comic statues. I also wouldn't spend more than around 1500$ for any comic character and probably I'd reach that amount only for a 1:3 scale piece of a character I really love.

Gotta agree with wanderlai, this is probably my favorite statue as well. It doesn't have the same presence as Phoenix for obvious reasons but there's nothing you can really nitpick about it either(maybe perceived scale vs other 1/4 because he's sitting is the only thing) imo.
