Yeah I figure it be atleast 20 cause of the finger suprise is 18 but either way epic and massive
when I saw this pic I was like wow
Anyone know how Cerebro is "floating" in Mag's hand? I thought there might be a clear plastic post that it rests on, but I can't see anything from the pics. Masked head looks cool. Unmasked looks a little disappointing, but need to see better/closer pics to be sure.

But I think it is the hand that's detachable, ie the left hand and Cerebro helmet is one integrated piece.
He does look a ill' jaundice, but again professional HD photos could clear things up.
from the neck down this piece is epic...but i have issues with both heads
the masked version looks as though the helmet is not on properly (not pulled down all the way)
the unmasked version looks incredibly vacant/sad
it might just be the lighting from the pics but if not, i sincerely hope XM does something about it
First and foremost, there is a huge difference between the HD(?) shots of the base from a few pages back and the cell phone shots. Just throwing that out there for those looking at the paint.
Second, the statue is damn near perfect. It actually looks pretty damn close to the concept design which is what I'm using as a reference point for my observation/critique. Here is the shot I'm speaking of:

Some things that stood out to me were:
- Both masked / unmasked heads seem slightly off. It could just be the angles but, the masked head has an elongated appearance to it. The unmasked head looks somewhat sad in a way. Again, it could just be the lighting/angle but, in the pic above, the facial expression is hard to miss.
- The color of the collar area is red. It looked like you guys originally wanted purple. I've seen him with both but I was just curious as to what caused the change.
I've been trying to figure it out
Think it's attached to the thumb
Looks like it attaches right at the thumb. If that's the case, seems like it would be a good breaking point.

What a fantastic looking statue. The cerebro floating effect is just off the chain. I mean, just...WOW! I agree that the unmasked head looks a little sad and contemplative. However, given Mags is sitting in the ruins of the X-Mansion/School, it seems rather fitting. Mags never hated Charles or his students. In fact, he cares a great deal for them. Practically every time they fought, it was out of necessity, not hatred. For Mags to see the Mansion destroyed after a battle with Sentinels (a common foe)...it wouldn't surprise me at all if he were a little sad or reflecting about the battle that had just ended and the possible loss suffered by his fellow mutants.
That said, with the helmet is the way I'm going to be displaying him. In my mind he's just destroyed the Sentinel and created the throne from the wreckage. He's still hasn't come down from his battle mode yet (hence the angry face) and he's just secured cerebro from human hands. He hasn't had the chance to wind down/take his helmet off and think about the battle.
I love this piece so much because it paints a scene. He's not just sitting there. There are so many elements to this piece that tell a remarkable story. Is he helping the X-MEN ward off the Sentinels to keep cerebro safe? Is he there because in the confusion of the battle he just wants to secure cerebro for himself? Either way, the base incorporates a fantastic scene. This is an amazing piece in every sense of the word for me. I simply can't wait to have it displayed in my collection.
Thanks guys! It does look like it is connected at the thumb, which does seem like it would be very prone to breaking, unless Cerebro is very very light.
I am liking the "sad" face more and more. Magneto isn't a villain, but more of an anti-hero. He does what he thinks needs to be done and sometimes that doesn't always agree with him. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
