I don't know if this question has been answered yet but here goes... any word on the edition size of this Luke? And how many will be offered to non-attendees?

I can't find the info anywhere.

Hi guys, Here's the pic of Ceremonial luke from the Hasbro 3 3/4" box and the Sideshow luke. Just thought I'd make a comparison.

I can't help but point out, notice the open lips in the film promo image from the 30AC Hasbro card, that's why I think Sideshow went right with the Jedi Luke sculpt, his lips are always frickin open.

Looks to me that sideshow has a nice sculpt here. Accurate except for the laugh lines that appear a little too prominent.

Someone posted that Luke only wore the Yavin ceremony outfit once, at the end of ANH...

How do we know this isn't the rebel pilot non-flight uniform, and he didn't wear it every single day of the 3 years between A NEW HOPE and EMPIRE?

Just trying to be optimistic. Wee! Toys are fun.

Sculpt looks good to me, better than most head sculpts so far from SS. They seemed to have perfected the MH head sculpt, far better than we've seen from any other company so far.

That's possible, but I believe that his Bespin outfit is indeed the non-flight uniform. Of course, there could have been a change between ANH and TESB, but I think the ceremonial outfit is a rare example of normal dress clothes in the Star Wars universe.

I think we've hit on the silution! The Bespin outfit is like the Rebel pilot BDU, and the Yavin ceremony outfit is the 'dress whites' of the Rebel pilots!

Problem solved! We can now use the Celebrations IV Luke for all those Rebel parade dioramas we've been itching to do!!!!

I, of course, am joking.

Well clearly you didn't read the old Marvel Comics series then. According to that, Luke went straight back to the Farm-boys and only shook it up to dress like a pirate, which disturbingly enough, he'd done more than once in the old comics...

I figured you odf all people would have a fondness for the old comics...
:)

I hope he at least changed his underwear once in a while. :monkey4

Aren't the comics considered EU and thus total crap?

Actually most of the EU, including the comics, is considered canon (but I believe they got it wrong with Luke's farm duds).

For an in-depth discussion of Luke's dress habits, see this thread. I agree that the "ceremonial" outfit was a dress/off-duty number, and Luke wore the "Bespin fatigues" when on X-wing missions.
