My guess is like with all of these high profile licenses the people who hold them have final say in what expression is used and how the figures ultimately looks. I wouldn't be surprised if a better looking headsculpt would have happened if SS had final say.

The piece itself looks amazing but I'll agree that the facial sculpt is horrid. It was meant to look funny and endearing but came off looking.......well retarded. Hopefully the next release will give his trademark lip curl a shot....

I showed pics to my mom and she even said that the facial expression is not characteristic of Elvis, even from that time period. That was enough for me to take it off the list. Such a shame. I was really excited about this when it was first announced.

I know its not archetypal as far as the expression goes. But honestly I would rather have my 68 comeback Elvis have that expression (assuming SS even makes one, which at this point is about as likely as a revival of the Buffy line. )
