I'm really interested in what the Moon Knight prop is - I'm assuming crescent darts..... Still holding out for more news about the proposed TV show.

is that Thor hammer a departure from the classic hammer design? I've heard of Windlass before, so, I'm curious where they got the design from. I know the hammer they showed at Marvel Ultimate Alliance looks the same as this design, but I prefer the design that Sideshow chose for their Archive set.

It's the design for Ultimate Thor's hammer from the Ultimates, from the Ultimate Universe. Like Ultimate Fantastic Four, Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate X-Men. It's kinda like a reimagining of the classic characters for the new millinium I guess is the best way to describe it.

P.S. Not trying to be a smart ass saying ultimate all the time, just wasn't sure how much you are in to comics so you may not have known about the ultimate lines.

they are basing it off the Ultimate version of the character but since that version doesn't appeal to me I am passing.

Can't wait to see the Infinity Gauntlet.

If it's as cool as the description this will be a must for anyone that calls themselves a Marvel fan. It's the ultimate prop to own as it is the most powerful weapon in the Marvel Universe and probably all of comics.

I'm aware of the Ultimates. They should've called it "Origins" instead so as not to be misleading. Thing is, like the new redesign of Ironman's costume, I'm not liking the new millenium design.

Let's face it, how many die-hards will rush to the new Ultimates designs? How many collectors at heart grew up with the Classic designs? Realistically, I think Sideshow and MR could do justice by looking at the age demographics of the people who can afford these items . . .

I am sure there is a reason why Sideshow bases it's stuff mostly on classic designs and some modern. No Ultimates versions yet. Hell, they rather do obscure Negative Zone stuff.

The only reason I see why they would go with an Ultimates Thor Hammer is to not bump heads with the Factory X.

Just Say No to movie Magneto's helmet!
I'll take the comic version instead please.

There will be two Standard Thor hammers out on the market, Factory X and DST. The Ultimates Thor Hammer is more visually appealing because of its size and stature but its really not recognizable to anyone but hardcore Comic Fans, the Ultimate universe definitely hasn't broken into the pop culture just yet. The Movie version of Magneto's helmet is an easy pass for me because I'm dying to get a well done and proportionate Comic styled one so the only thing I'm watching is the Infinity Guantlet which would be spectacular if done right.....that is the caviat, that glove really has the danger of looking campy and chessy so hopefully time is taken there. Also, I hope they get the crystal sequence right.

That Hammer is going to be huge, I'd imagine the SubMariner would be a full size trident too. These are going to be some expensive props.

I agree. They sound like they know what they are doing so I am excited only about the gauntlet. 24k gold highlights and such sound like they are trying to make a breathtaking piece. I hope for the best. This will look great with my Upper Deck Silver Surfer bust (I still remember Adam Warlock telling Surfer to go get the gauntlet and him coming away only with the soul gem).

As a comics fan, I am excited someone finally has the guts to tackle such an iconic piece.

I stopped by Museum Replicas booth at SDCC and had a chance to talk to a gentleman who used to be Factory X's President, I can't remember his name right now, but he was a really nice guy. He even let us handle the Ultimate Thor Hammer which is HUGE! Their stuff is amazing, here are some pics.

I like the Thor Helmets, even the Cyclops visor but I am seriously disappointed with the Infinity Guantlet, It looks too narrow and just like a large glove, I imagined Thanos' hand to be really wide and the glove to be a little more muted in coloring. I was really looking forward to it and it just didn't come up to par. I was doubtful about the Ultimate Thor hammer but in size its nice but it looks really fake and kind of cheesy.....The First Appearance Iron Man helmets are too shiny for my taste. I think they should have been done in a matted finish.

Trust me when I say, the pics don't do these items justice! The Infinity Gauntlet ENORMOUS, the Ultimate Thor hammer looks amazing and very well made and the Iron Man Helmets are beautiful. You need to see them in person to truly appreciate them.
