I was gonna jump on this today. But thanks to tax bills :Flush, I'm gonna have to wait for in hand pics, & hope doesn't sell out.

Well, considering there is no ES yet and it's not expected to ship until 1Q of next year, I think you have some time... ;)

Thank God!
This is the perfect size for those of us who live in small houses, & are running out of room. & I like the look of this way better than their 1:1.

looks like no exclusive and open edition. So no hurry, i will just wait for in hand photos after release or waitlist whatever comes first. Kinda happy i dont have to order right away and can wait.

I'll wait a bit. It being an open edition and being over a year away gives us plenty of time.

I'll preorder but not right this second.

This look fantastic. It will be high on my list, but as the life-size scale was total #### in paint app, I`d wait for in hand and not rely on the proto.

700 bucks...not too bad. Good base.

Well, the product specs say that it weighs 15lbs (i.e. nearly twice the weight of the LS Wolf Predator Bust), so there's got to be some substance to it. Based on that weight, I'm guessing there's quite a bit of polystone in this piece...

Your joking, the base alone can weigh 15 pounds this thing is straight pvc plastic straight up!

I really like it too. I would still like to see the Iron Studios 1/4 but I wasn't impressed with the concept art, and this is a much better representation over the life size from SS. This could be the best Yoda for the foreseeable future. I just hope there isn't a catch, like all plastic and vinyl as the Wolf Predator bust.

I can almost guarantee you this is plastic, a base can weigh 15 pounds alone, that is a big base, the life size was hollow and why would they change that? I just know that they are going plastic with the head! But it looks good but just wait man I am telling you.

No, not joking. The specs on the product page on SS list "Resin" as the only material. In comparison, the aforementioned Legendary Scale Predator Bust -- which is similar in size but weighs half as much as this Yoda -- lists the materials as Vinyl, Resin and PVC.

It remains to be seen how much, if any of it, is hollow, but there does NOT appear to be any use of plastic.

The life-size is 32" tall. It would be SUPER heavy if it was not hollow. Making it hollow is a matter of practicality at that scale. At 18" for the LS, they have more flexibility in the construction. It's very possible that it is largely solid. Bottom line, I do not believe it's safe to assume that just because they constructed the life-size a certain way that the LS will be constructed the same way...

May be resin but it will be hollow bud. No way a solid sculpt that big would weigh that low. But I can be wrong but I know ss these days and I will not buy anything from them anymore with out in hands photos and go from their but time will tell! I would figure for 2600 that life size statue would be full resin, it is practical because statues come in pieces and I have many statues that are solid for fraction of the price. I have legendary scale figures fully solid, King Kong vs Rex. HCG leg endo, Prime one Heath Joker. Anyways, I do hope it is not hollow and if that is the case I would pick it up but I have to see in hand pics before I buy it. Or anything ss, because their have not been good with their statues these days. Even Thanos was hollow resin. You know if this was solid it would be much heavier than 15lbs. Anyways, I guys we all hope for the best!

Yup, all we can do at this point is speculate and hope for the best. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait about a year to find out the answer, unless we happen to get some insider info before its release...

True, we have a wait. But I won't order till it is in hand. I have a life size yoda not the ss life size. But anyways, a lot of ss looks amazing then are a big let down. So, I hope for the best like the darth maul pf they recently made was very well done. So, they should knock this one out of the park!

I’m waiting for IS Yoda. Will be smaller, sure. But it will be solid all the way through with a massive base.

And even cheaper.

I know it's "Legendary Scale", but at just 18", isn't this equivalent to a 1/4 Premium Format figure, but for $700?

correct. this is a pf-sized yoda for $700. still overpriced for what you get but a bargain compared to the asking price for the lifesize...which is why no one seems to be complaining.

Height wise he’s the same as a standard PF but proportionately he is much larger.

As far as hollow, of course it will be. Pretty much all of them are.

In the scheme of things, I don't really care that much if it's hollow as long as it's a quality piece. There's no indication of the use of plastic, and the weight specs indicate he is fairly substantial, so I'm encouraged. That being said, I'm honestly a lot more worried about their execution of other details, like the quality of the paint application, more than how heavy he is...

This is one of the best Yoda head sculpts I've seen in a long time, so I'm really crossing my fingers that they'll do this character justice and nail the end product.

Agreed, this has the potential to be a really fantastic piece!

Aren’t most things hollow? Sadly, I had to destroy a Prime 1 Dark Knight Returns 1/3 Bust and it wasn’t solid all the way through and I believe Prime 1 is known for quality. It did feel very solid but it wasn’t at all. Someone who knows about casting can probably elaborate.
