Have any of you guys ever sent any comics off to CGC for grading? I have a few key ASM issues and have been thinking of doing this.

just bought CGC 9.8 the walking dead issue #33 the revenge issue, this one isn't signed but that will be fixed at SDCC . I wish i could've got issue #27 first appearance of the governor but they are going for crazy amounts of money.

Picked up Walking Dead Compendium 2 today :yess:
Got the first one for Christmas, just haven't gotten around to snap a picture of it... Most of you probably know what is looks like :monkey3

At first I wasn't in to it at all.
Thought that there were to many characters to keep track of and just when you learnt their names and what they looked like they got killed off :slap
It wasn't until
they found the prison
that I really started to love it.
I simply couldn't put it down! It has been a roller coaster ride of emotions...
I've been disgusted, I've felt rage, I've felt hope and joy and I've almost been brought to tears at some parts.
Finished the first one last week, ordered compendium 2 as soon as I closed the book and now it's here.
Can't wait! :yess:

Been on about it for a while but I just finally got through green arrow year one. Really enjoyed it. A great introduction to the character. A lot of people seem to make comparisons between Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark but I think it would be more accurate to compare Oliver Queen to Stark, I'd say he's more the DC counterpart to him.

Anyway, really enjoyed it, next up is Longbow Hunters. Anyone got any good recommendations for after that?

just read 'Five Ghosts' # 1 (of a 5 part mini-series) from Image Comics.

Really, really liked it. Definitely recommend it.

Very original.

Bought the Omnibus set for Aliens, AvP, and Predator....never read any of the comic books when they were released, so hoping to check into some history that may fill gaps in movies.

I have a few of the aliens books and the first couple of predator and avp omnibus' too. Some are decent, some not so much. The first avp story is cool though. I think I remember one of the aliens books was supposed to be viewed as a sequel to aliens and based around hicks and newt, but that was before alien3 came about.

Read batman 18 and batman and robin 18 last week batman was surprisingly meh, but batman and robin i felt was really well done and conveyed lots of emotion despite having no dialogue.

Bought/read Invincible Iron Man: World Most Wanted and The Incredible Hulk: Vol 1 over the past few days. I have a new respect for Fraction now... And Sylvestri's art in Hulk was great.

Got these yesterday...

I picked up quite a bit yesterday, I havent finished them all yet but I wanted to mention Detective Comics 19 (900) and Thanos 1. I have actually seen either amazing reviews or horrible reviews about both of these issues. I thought they were both great.

Detective 19 - I thought the Man Bat story was actually very good, fun, action packed. There are multiple stories in this issue that all seem to revolve around the Man Bat story and I enjoyed them all. I know the cover price of this one was $8 but it feels like you get about 5 different issues in it, so I felt like it was worth it. I feel like Laymon is finally stepping up with the last few Detective issues.

Thanos 1 - By Jason Aaron, which should almost be enough to make you get it. The art felt somewhat animated, kind of like Nova and Sup Spidey, which is not a bad thing in any way but I would have liked to see the person penciling Thor. The story feels very similar to Gor the God Killer in the current Thor comics but I think the Thanos story is starting off pretty cool. So if your a fan of the current Thor arc, this has a similar feel; which of course is by the same writer as well. I recommend it!

I was so backed up! Um, comic wise. :monkey3

I had to order a few and pre-order the rest. I've decided to cut down on costs and only get Trades from Amazon. It was getting way out of hand being around $70 a month in comics. Ouchie.

Just grabbed Walking Dead Vol. 14 since we've been way behind. We oddly have Vol. 15 but cannot read it because we need to read the last issue in Vol. 14. We've had 15 for a year at least. :slap

And I also nabbed vol. 16. I'll get vol 17 soon and I pre-ordered vol 18 along with Smallville Vol. 1 and Morning Glories Vol. 4.

I bought Batwoman Vol. 1 today, too.

I had my lcs hold IZombie issues 25-28 since I'm missing those and they are the last in the series.

I need to get Nightmare World Vol. 3 soon, too.

Can anyone point me to where I can find out runs in a comic line? I want to be sure that X23 finished with issue #21. I don't see a #22 anywhere, but want to be sure.
