I just finished reading Hickman FF omnibus Vol. 1. I really liked the multiple Reeds story and pretty much everything else within. I can't wait for them to release Vol. 2.

I picked up the Secret Warriors omni a few weeks ago since it just went OOP and the prices are starting to get a little crazy. I'll probably get to it after I finish up AvX.

AvX was okay. Nothing great but it does change things in the marvel universe.
Secret Warriors is great. I need to pick up the omni too. Didn't realise it is OOP. I'll sell my singles afteri pick up the hc.

You reading anything dc?

Yeah, I was kind of underwhelmed with AvX, but definitely see how it set things up as they moved to the Marvel Now stuff.

As for DC it's just Batman for me after the nu52 started. I've mostly broken my habit of buying floppies except for Batman. If DC had a better program of releasing material in over-sized hardcovers like Marvel, I'd never buy singles. They do have a Justice League omnibus coming next month that I'm pretty interested in. I realize though that Silver Age DC definitely isn't for everyone, but I'm ready for the cheesiness of it.:lol

I've been only buying dc deluxe editions and HC. I think they are great. Snyders run on batman has been great.
I prefer omni as well but sometimes they are too bulky to read easily.Marvel now has been meh for me.
Whichones you reading in marvel now. Only ones I like are Daredevil and Hawkeye , thor and hulk.

The deluxe build DC uses for their Vertigo line is pretty good. I just wish they used it for the regular DCU stuff too. I've liked most of Synder's stuff, but I haven't really liked Zero Year. It just feels like it's plodding along.

Current Marvel stuff I read include the Spider titles, All-New X-Men, Thor, and Iron Man. I haven't tried Hawkeye yet, but have heard good things. I like Fraction quite a bit. I've never really been a Daredevil fan, but I finished reading the Miller omni last week and that has me interested in reading more of the character.

I know what you mean, I've got all the Fables Deluxe HC from vertigo. Its a really cool read, I def recommend it.
As for Snyder, his American Vampire book is great. Its been on hiatus for a while but it just started up again.

If you like Fraction, pick up his Immortal Iron Fist and Iron Man run you won't regret it as well as Bendis run on Daredevil. Both were great books in my eyes.

Brian Wood DMZ #1-12.
Has anyone read this before? I just picked up the HC and its a really good read. The writing is top notch and the art is very graphical.
Highly recommended. Can't wait for the vol 2 in June.
Something different besides all the hero stuff doing lately.

Got this today. I have read Risso's Batman Noir and loved it. So, hoping I will like this one too. Think I'll get the Hush: Unwrapped as well. :D

Nice, different kind of addition(s) to the collection.

Guys,

Does anyone read the Grimm Fairy Tale comics?

I'm tempted to get into them but there seems to be so many I'm at a loss where to begin

Any good jumping on point?

Ta

Neil

Saga Volume 3, this series is really kicking into gear right now.
I'm loving it. Anybody else following this book?
Trinity War HC - halfway through so far and its kind of meh, hope it ends on a high note!!

At the recommendation of my friend at my LCS, I picked up the first trade of Saga last week. His words were Game of Thrones meets Star Wars. I liked the read and the universe seemed pretty cool but it didn't draw me in as much as I was expecting it to. The same happened with invincible though. I wasn't entirely impressed by the first trade but after the second I was hooked. I picked up the second trade on Friday so I'm hoping it either picks up or stays the same in which case it has Vol 3 to convince me before I give it the axe.

Also finished Goon Volume 12 this week. I can't wait for Powell to start picking up again in trades.

Stick with Saga and tell me what you think after Vol 3.
I like Invincible too I have a lot to catch up on that series.

I just finished up the Uncanny X-Force omnibus. Overall, I liked the series, but felt the Otherworld section dragged a bit. I need more Fantomex.

Now, I'm going to take a superhero break and give Fatale a read.

Need to pick up the Omni soon. Is it the whole run by Rick Remender?

Finished the third trade today. It definitely got better with the second trade. I found that not a whole hell of a lot actually happened with the third trade but I'm definitely on board now. I'd say they're really laying the groundwork though in these first few books. I'm excited to see what happens when it really gets going and they've got a good established story.
