Finished Batman; Court of Owls tonight.
Fantastic book, action packed, intense and an exiting read, for sure.
Wonderful writing and the art is superb as well!

Anyone know how many parts there will be?
I know The City of Owls is coming early next year... Will there be more after that?
I saw a Night of the Owls as well, guessing thats part no. 3?
Or maybe part 1 and 2 in the same book?

Just getting back into Comics/Graphic Novels over the past few months after about a 16 year layoff and loving them much much more than I used to.

Here are a few I recently picked up which are:
"The Absolute Sandman, Vol. 1"...Have not started this one yet as I am currently still in the process of finishing "Preacher" first which is incredible..I am up to "Ancient History" so far. I had no idea the book for the version of Sandman I got was going to be this huge (I bought it kind of in a spur of a moment without much thinking) so I really hope I do enjoy getting into Sandman, I hear Neil Gaiman is supposed to have written incredible stuff so I do not think one can go wrong with the Sandman...time will tell for me.

I also decided to check out Clive Barker's new "Hellraiser" comics which are now in Graphic Novel form from "BOOM Studios". I understand that both he and a guy by the name of Christopher Monfette are both Authors of this new Hellraiser story and so far I am pretty impressed just 2 volumes in (Prelude, and Chapters 1-4...then Volume 2 has Chapters 5-8).
IMO this is how Hellraiser should have turned out unlike what Hollywood did with Hell on Earth. Not giving anything away but Pinhead's character is much different in these comics. Any Hellraiser fans like myself should definately pick these up especially for as cheap as they can be had from Amazon.

Here is some nice pictures:

Picked this up last week...
Prince of Cats
I really like the art style. Awesome take on a classic Shakespeare tragedy.

Interesting feedback on Hellraiser thanks mate - as this is one I've never read (and never seen the movies) but always been interested in because of just how dark and twisted the whole pinhead character appears in the pictures.

I'll grab a copy of issue 1 or whichever comes first in the storyline from comiXology and give it a spin. Ta! :)

This is my whole collection...
But I'm really enjoying this format of comics so i suspect that I'll soon have more :yess: :impatient:

Oh yeah - great pickups!!

How is "Joker" by Lee Bermjo?

Yeah, I read the Court of Owls arc digitally and LOVED it. Had to get it in hardcover.. also got a few individual issues here and there.

Halfway through the Black Mirror and it is UNREAL. Not surprised considering it's the arc that got Snyder the Batman gig in New 52. Highly recommended.

Also just finished "Batman: The Man Who Laughs" and it is also a deadset ripper.

"The Joker" is a great book.
You get to follow Joker from the eyes of a small-time gangster whom wants nothing more than to become Joker's right hand man...
And it quickly escalates from there :wink1:
There is also a few well known characters from the Batman-univers in the story... But with a whole new, more human, look. Very cool!
The story is really interesting and you get to see just how "crazy" the Joker is.
The writing is very good and the artwork is superb.
It has a more realistic tone to it and it's very (very) graphic! :clap
Highly recommended.

Good to hear about the "Black Mirror" and "The Man Who Laughs".
They are both on my list of novels to buy! :)

Read batman 13 on comixology. My first digital comic purchase! Never thought I would do it, but my LCS sold out and I wanted to read it. Good story, awesome artwork and looked amazing on my iPad!!! Anyone else going the digital route?

Got these two today:

Kick-Ass 1 (ISBN-10: 1848565348) and

Kick-Ass 2 (ISBN-10: 0857687867)

Yeah.. agree.. here are my thoughts:

Totally going the digital path.

I sort of go like this:

1) Pick up individual issues I'm following via comiXology app on the iPad.
2) Any individual issues I love I'll order online (no local stores) to be delivered bagged and boarded.
3) Arcs I want to collect, I'll order a hardcover trade (or absolute) for.

So, might end up with 3 copies of an issue in some circumstances - but I'm very okay with that. :)

Reading first Jack Reacher novel, 'Killing Floor' by author Lee Child. Took about 50 pages to get going for me, but once it does, it does -

About halfway done and enjoying it quite a bit
