My oldest picked up Avatar last night. However, by the time I finished updating the blu-ray player with the latest firmware update to play it, it was too late to watch.

What I don't get is that I have a player that is BD-Live compatible and the manufacturer didn't have the firmware available via download from the player. I had to find a USB thumbdrive and download it from the website then manually install it.
 
This is why I hate Blu-ray technology. Just give me the damn movie in the best possible audio and video. I don't give a crap about fancy menus, or pop-up commentary or any of that other so-called value-added crap. :banghead

This week, I picked up Avatar, Fight Club, Minority Report, African Queen and Lovely Bones.

(Now I have to stop spending money on movies for the rest of the month.)
 
its that special mate i paid £30 for the german steel box edition :D

I was debating getting the steel book but decided against it because then I knew I would want a steel book everytime I saw one. :lol:rotfl
Can't afford another addiction. :lol

Pitu , it was a pretty awesome conversion imo , pick it up when you get the chance. :rock
