The BD looks amazing. You can watch each episode with the original promo and it really shows you the difference in video quality.

I know I can still get it, but I wanted to use BB in-store pickup for another $10 off coupon. :D

That's what I'm worried about. If I buy it down the road the case will be different from all the other releases. $59.99 is just a tad high for me, though. I gotta wait it out for another couple of weeks.

I have never seen any Star Trek outside of the Newest ST movie. Would next generation be a good start?

Next Generation is the only Star Trek TV shows I've ever watched, its got a great cast.

I'm sorta like you as well. I've only seen a handful of Next Generation episodes. I liked Star Trek: First Contact so my Trekkie buddies showed me the episode that was the backstory of that movie. What's funny is I have seen every episode of Deep Space Nine and Enterprise, so I sorta know a bit about what happens in Next Generation since DS9 and TNG had a lot of interconnected episodes (I think?)
And then the end episode of Enterprise turned out to be just another TNG episode for some reason, lol!! :lol:lol:lol

I have been wanting to get into Star Trek, but never knew where to start since it seems like their are like a million different titles and they usually arent cheap haha

I saw you posting that you liked Serenity. That's so awesome, buddy!! I love that show!

OK, that had nothing to do with Star Trek except maybe for both being shows in space. :rotfl:rotfl

Enterprise
Star Trek Original Series (this will be very dated)
Next Generation
Deep Space 9
Voyager

If you plan on seeing them all, that's the order you'll want to see them for timeline purposes.

So which one of these series is a must watch if I have no desire to watch it from the beginning? Or is it one of those shows that you pretty much need to. I just don't know how I can possibly afford to see it all :lol

If you liked the new movie, I'd say go with the the Original Series first. Just remember, it is from the 60s, and can seem a bit dated to someone unfamiliar with it. You also don't need to watch the episodes in order to enjoy them. You might also like seeing the original characters from the movie.

Ill have to check it out then! Went onto amazon to look at the prices for the blu rays and holy hell they are expensive. Guess Ill have to wait for a sale or something. No way I could spend that much.

But they're awesome, the restoration is superb and the additional effects shots do not detract at all. Working my way through them now, slowly.
