Is is just me or have Amazon Marketplace sellers gotten really lazy lately. Several orders in the past few weeks, I have received the wrong product from what I ordered! And I don't mean a different title or movie, I mean a different edition or version. For instance, the latest one came in today; I ordered the Bourne Trilogy Blu-ray set issued in 2009 with the fold open cover, but received the cheap slipcase reissue from 2010! This is happening more and more lately. I could understand if the UPC code is exactly the same because sellers don't have a choice which product page a listing goes under... it is determined by the UPC (which is tied to a unique ASIN). So I can search for a title and find two or three or more, product pages, pick the version I want, place my order, and I should receive that product, not one of the other versions!!! It has become so common that I have to actually read all of the Seller Information on the new/used listings to see if the seller mentions anything about not being the version on the product page... and they do sometimes!
Again!!! I recently ordered all the Romero Dead on Blu-ray (6 total) to have a marathon during Oct. Except for Night (I got the Japanese release) they were all the US releases... except of course, I got the Canadian version of Diary of the Dead with both English and French text on the cover, which is not the ASIN or UPC that I ordered! Nothing against our Canadian collectors, it's just that I try to limit my collection to US releases only, except for the occasional item like the Japanese Night of the Living Dead mentioned above. Do Marketplace sellers just not care or do they think most people just won't even notice... or am I giving them too much credit and they don't even realize which version they are sending out?
