Really hope that this is now par for the course and Disney includes 3D in it's initial Episode VIII release...but again, they know Star Wars fans will double dip, and can rationalize the 3D release with Rogue One as it's outside of the main story.

My guess was that TFA was a testing run. I can see TLJ having 3D and regular versions at release.

The only reason I bought the Rogue One steelbook is because it included the 3D disc. Disney will still get us to double dip when the UHD discs are released.

Maybe the RO double dip will be for a special Edition that delves into the changes made to the film.

Incredibly unlikely, but one can always hope.

I'd certainly appreciate it. I think there is a store near my work, and I doubt they'll sell out, they had whatever had just came out recently (God, that's so bad I can't even recall the movie lol). I'm sure I'll score an in-store. Just don't want to pay eBay prices which will probably be like 29.99. I'll hit you up if I miss it, otherwise I may place it somewhere near one of my sister's to do it lol.
