I want a Blu-ray player that has everything covered, but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it.

Go to 126th st and Lex...Ask for Rollo...he'll be in the corner with a red Dorag...$100 its yours the best that somebody once had...but whatever you do Don't mention that its to watch TLJ...hmm hmm:violin

I am in need of a new blu ray player and I'm debating whether it's worth getting a UHD player...even though I don't have a capable display yet. I've been waiting for 4k projectors to come down in price, but it might be a while until they're a price I'm willing to pay.

I am with you. Cheapest one with TRUE 4K is about $5,000.00. To rich for my blood.

Same here. I'm thinking I'd like to pay under $1k used in a year or two...

Right now I'm debating between a used Oppo 105 or a new Oppo 203 UHD player. I'll be using it mainly as a CD player and to run my Apple TV through it to my 2.0 stereo. It'll be in the living room so I doubt I'll ever care about 4k video capability, that's what the home theater is for. It's always a tough call to buy outdated electronics though.

Yeah if we are lucky.

Sucks that I upgraded my receiver in hopes of getting one and then seeing I can't afford one :(

No reason to buy any 4k/UHD hardward without a projector. So I just sit... feeling behind the times. :'(

Projectors are great but I agree, you need a really good one to make it count. I’m completely satisfied with my Sony 65A1E and Xbox One X.

I like movies to be bigger than tv shows to have a greater impact. Front projection is still the only way to get a 10 foot wide image. I’m actually wanting to downsize my living room plasma from 60 to a 50 or 55. It will fit the room better I think.

How far away are you sitting from the screen?
I wouldn't downgrade, but it also depends on whether or not your elbows keep hitting the sides of the plasma as you walk by, then yeah, smaller would be better. :)

I know it might seem strange, but I'm wanting the stereo to be the focal point of the room. The 60" screen is so imposing even if it's turned off. I'm going old school like when we had a 19" tube and that's all we knew lol. I won't go that small, but as long as I have the home theater I'd prefer a smaller tv in the living room.
