LOTR, I have bought theatrical DVD and Extended Ed. and (currently own) Extended Ed. Blu-ray.

Other than those sets that came with statues, I didn't know there were any other versions

There are actually quite a few, if you bought every different cover that has been released, which I haven't done. There are also steelbooks and that very expensive set on the wooden shelf.

I'm sure there will be 4Ks soon. There was talk of 3D some time ago but I'm sure that has been given up on.

Maybe 3D in Europe?

Now I recall that ridiculously expensive wooden box set, I wonder if they managed to sell very many?

Considering how rarely I watch them of late, I'll probably skip 4K, I just don't have time for 4 hour movies anymore.

If you feel that way about JL, why buy it?
I’m a huge DC fan. And I didn’t see it in theaters. I’ve heard good things and bad things. I ended up not liking it nearly as much as I was hoping. While the plot of Suicide Squad was appalling... it’s still a better film. As is the extended cut of BvS. I’m hoping the solo films continue to be decent.

Yup. I'm DVRing it just doesn't sound right.

My pickups:

Was only $9.99, and I didn't have it in my collection yet:

And of course, the big release of the week:

Annnnndd...my favorite. A spine slash. But it's not worth my time and sanity trying to find the "perfect" SteelBook.
