HOLY CRAP THE HOLY GRAIL OF ENTERTAINMENT CONTRACTS HAS BEEN BROKEN!

WILL OTHER STUDIOS FOLLOW! :panic:

Remember that theater chains traditionally threatened to not show any movie that broke that window!

Again HOLY CRAP!

Shame Bond and QP2 were moved.

So i?m guessing $20 for 1 viewing in 24hrs.

Shows you how quickly the world can change.

In my state, (and I think yours too, Jye) theaters have been ordered to shutdown. If the venues are unable to stay open, probably negates the contract.

Holy crap is right thank God the MCU and SW got to close out properly on the big screen last year. :thud:

Geez it would have been devastating had this happened in 2019.

This year we got Eternals who cares lol

Yup yup same in all northeast states.

I learned that 12.2 million people watched Frozen 2 on D+ at the SAME TIME lastnight!

I will stay home and watch 4k movies--- have you guys seen Apocalypse Now in this format? Wow

The theater chains asked Universal to just show some patience and wait for the crisis to be over instead of rushing to break that long standing window.

Nope lol

That?s ok Onward doesn?t count lol

It's not like seeing it in the theater would break the government's rule of gatherings greater than 10 people anyway, lol.

I'm so gonna go on a 4K physical media buying spree right now. Hopefully home theater audio and video drops to Black Friday prices or lower as stores scramble to stay in business. Oops I mean I hope everyone has enough food and water, lol.

Hey! Onward was great!

Besides, it's the last movie I saw in a Theater before the great theater extinction of 2020.

I will always have fond memories of wiping these seats down with lysol, eating overpriced popcorn.

Hmm if the theater industry doesn't recover then the last film I'll have ever seen on the big screen will be Ford v Ferrari.
