I know plenty of people steer clear of any film with subtitles, but they're missing out on some great films.

I'll have to give Dead Silence a spin.

If puppets scare you, this movie is for you! :D

I love a good movie no matter if that means reading subtitles.
I recommended one earlier called, The Orphanage. El Orfanato, in Spanish, and I absolutely love it. Lots of scary moments, but the ending is very touching in a sad way. I highly recommend this one.

Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966)

Oh hell yeah!
I've got this one.

Gotta love the Hammer films. :clap

After seeing curse of Frankenstein on blu ray I'd love to check out some more hammer releases on blu ray. Really hoping they release horror of dracula at some point. I saw they released the mummy's shroud on blu ray and the transfer got some great reviews but I've never seen that one. Anyone know if its any good?

I really wanted to see the orphanage when it was released in cinemas but never got around to it. Keep meaning to. Also, I find puppets very creepy, might have to check out dead silence some time.

I'd say you can count on a good Horror of Dracula blu ray coming soon. They just unearthed a Japanese print with some lost footage and cut material from
Dracula's Death scene
.

As for the Hammer mummy movies, I find them all fairly interchangeable and somewhat forgettable after the first one. But it's fairly entertaining.

Yeah I read somewhere that they'd found some of the extra footage. Apparently there's more that seems to have been lost forever. Didn't they find the extra stuff in a Japanese film museum or something. Either way, really hope they release the film, in any version, on blu ray soon.

I think the review I read said something similar about the mummy's shroud. I think if anything I'd rather just wait and try and see the first mummy film they made. I was a big hammer fan growing up but mostly watched their dracula or vampire film. With a few other random ones thrown in, witchfinder general particularly disturbed me, but would love to check out some of the others, Frankenstein and mummy etc

FYI guys. Best Buy had the entire Nightmare On Elm street collection on blu ray for $40. Looks to be an exclusive with them. I have the import region free version so not sure if there is any difference between these two.

Yeah, I grew up watching this stuff. Everything a young boy needs: food, schooling, ****s and gore. :rock

My favorites were most definitely the Dracula flicks with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Frankenstein flicks a close second. However, I didn't care too much for the Mummy films. Even when C. Lee was a mummy. Just not my kind of scare.

Thanks for the heads up.
I need to take a look into that.
