I can't wait to see this. I've been excited for it ever since I heard the buzz. Likable, smart characters in a horror movie? I'm there.

It looks like there's one person NOT wearing the mask....Why would you be THAT person? :lol

Loved the soundtrack and the throwback 80's nod. It was very predictable though and it had that feel good, well kind of, ending. The Strangers was a much better movie. I can't get that song out of my head.... Looking for the Magic

The whole time I was watching this I thought this movie was going to get blasted by the forums I visit but everyone seems to love it. I don't get it. I thought it was horrible.

And that's perfectly cool.
You shouldn't have to justify why you didn't like it.

That Dwight Twilley song's been an ear worm. Movie's an excellent homage to 80's slashers complete with background synths. Really had a blast watching this. Far superior to The Strangers.

Lol sorry. For me it was the acting, the score, the dialogue, the villains, the victims. The only thing I did like was the badass girl but I have a weakness for Aussie accents. It just seemed extremely cheesy but I guess that was the point maybe? Idk, I'm just confused by the love it's getting lol.

When I saw 80% on RT, I was thinking it would be really good for a horror film...but I thought it was just ok. The bad guys came off as whimpy by the end. I was hoping at the end that old pick up truck from the Strangers would come pick her up indicating she was one of the 3 of them. Instead she is Bear Grylls with ****.

^ Uh.......uhh...The Last House on the Left? Both versions?

Upon reading about those, I'm intrigued; perhaps I'll give them a try.

Well. They exist. *ahemnightmareonelmstreetahem* There's a ton of movies like that. And they've been around for a long time.

And this movie looks great.

I don't really see how that's relevant. I get that the parents took their revenge on Freddy, but, for God's sake, he turned into a dream walker/monster dude that can't be killed. That's one of the things I ****ing hate about horror movies. What's the difference in that and a fictional snuff film? It's not even interesting if there's no way to vanquish the antagonist.

On topic: I saw this today (or would it be yesterday, at this point?), and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sharni Vinson's Erin was the light in the darkness, though, as the rest of the film's protagonists, and, I suppose, its antagonists, as well, proved fairly inept.
