I can't wait to see this movie. I enjoyed The Hurt Locker alot. As long as this is better than Act of Valor
I'll preface this by saying that I know nothing about this book, or this movie really. But first hand accounts are made by human beings who are imperfect "cognitive misers." It is conceivable that you would get 4 or 5 different accounts of an incident that will differ from each other in various ways. Why wouldn't I? It's written by someone who was there. I have no reason not to believe it.

Having said that, I would not buy Void's apparent inference that the SEAL was lying for some reason.

Just saw the movie. It was pretty good and the Raid was almost the same as the book. Loved it.
The movie did well in not glorifying the event. It was what it was. There was no huge gun battles and Rambo nonsense. A
Going to see this on Saturday. Even if bits and pieces are not true I am interested in seeing assuming that POS Bin Laden is dead how he died.
Solid - Batman has nothing to do with this thread and people can call it the best movie of 2012 if they want. Not everyone believes that TDKR was the greatest thing ever.
I wish we can ban all the Bat-ards that pop into every thread.
I think you will enjoy it Josh. The raid especially was probably one of the best modern military depictions in film to date. Extremely to the point and nothing over the top.

It was a pretty great movie. It was the film I hoped for. After watching it, my only minor issue, and it's beyond, beyond minor...is I wish they made his death more dramatic.
But, after I got over that, I realized, that's how it would've went down, and not all slow mo, with blood exploding everywhere.
Really great stuff. I enjoyed the whole thing.
That's exactly what I said.
The "death" of Osama Bin Laden has been questionable at best. To date there are currently 3 stories of how it went down from 3 different people who were there and as yet, until evidence is provided, even his death is questionable. For all we know, he's sitting in a cell somewhere outside the Geneva Convention because outside of a small group of operators and a handful of politicians, nobody knows the truth.
I'm a dumb *** and missed the rest of your post on my iPhone.
