Erik's sculpt has just that tad bit more character and expression as compared to Trevor's. Both are absolutely fantastic, but (and I'm talking to you marf) if I had to choose, I'd go with Erik's.

:lol

Hey, Erick's is a great sculpt! BUT aside from being a Trevor Grove fanboy, Erick's is just a tad too scene specific for me :) Soooo looking forward to seeing what is up both artist's sleeves for the rest of the characters.

No need to compare. Use both -- two Martys! But don't let them meet!

:D

My problem isn't the sculpts, its the outfit. Not sure if I can afford the Rainman outfit and gear, so I may have to bash with the old stuff. Maybe I can get some key pieces from Rainman -- like the jacket and shoes -- if Rainman would be willing to part out pieces on this particular joint-venture project.

Definitely don't need any universe-ending paradoxes on our hands :lol

The outfit is my problem as well, I can really only afford one atm if I'm going to get into any other characters.

Hey Erick, if you're listening and you approve, maybe check with Rainman to see if parting out the outfit at some point would be possible.

I don't want to upset the natural order of preorders for the full figure though, so I totally understand if that isn't part of the arrangement you two came to us with. I ask only because Rainman does offer "sets" of costume bits on his personal projects.

Same here. I am going to order one complete set, but I would love to display a second Marty withou jacket and vest... :dunno

Problem solved, buy a second one and on sell jacket and vest to wor-gor

Nothing stopping us from parting out and on selling to a fellow freak, as long as it's reasonable

Good idea!

Thought about it too, but we would need a second pair of shoes... :dunno

You can repaint some 1/6 Nikes from ebay rather easily, not the most important part of the bash in terms of accuracy (imo).

I couldn't in good conscious recommend those shoes to anyone, they are pretty terrible :lol

Actually the ones I was using for my bash are these:

How about the ones on the Forrest Gump figure - 7toys7 sell them I think

oops - just looked at Kuzeh's hyperlink - already slammed. But with a bit of weathering ... ok I'll let it go

The problem with those are their size. They are huge specially for Marty.

They won't match Rainman's awesome pair, but if anyone gets stuck for want of a pair of Nikes, I can help. Just let me know after Thanksgiving. Hopefully, though, Rainman will make sure enough of his are available.

The Toms Forrest shoes look halfway decent when they are smaller. I used acetone to shrink mine. I painted them, and they look better. They still aren't 100% accurate, as they're based on late '70s Nike Cortez instead of the Nike Bruins from the mid-'80s.

I would much rather have a pair of Dan Chung's or Rainman's.
