This is supposed to be a collaboration between Eric and Rainman.

I find it a bit irespectfull to say that rainman should sculpt it becasue all of you just can't wait. geeeez

i have to agree, man. i know everyone is impatient for this, but erick seems really busy right now with projects for us freaks. plus, with the holidays approaching and just gone. i think it's kinda sad that he agreed to do this project and worked hard on a sculpt just for people to dismiss him because the casts are delayed. but that's just my personal opinion.

I think that some people would like to see Rainman sculpt Marty simply because they are a fan of his work, and would love to see his take on the character. And I'm feeling a bit impatient because I have no intention of using Erick's sculpt (as I'm sure is the case with several people who have already purchased Trevor's). :)

What he said!

I can and will be waiting probably another year to get a Marty Mcfly completed what with getting the thing painted etc. I have a Trevor sculpt and would like to see a rainman sculpt to go with his outfit, as for the other head those who want an extreme expression should be quite satisfied with the head. He shouldn't have to rush through it and can sell it when it's perfected.

Erick Sosa(Zculptor) and Rainman have agreed to collaborate on a Marty Mcfly from BTTF. Plans for this project is Erick Sosa is providing the head sculpt and Rainman is providing the outfit and accessories. This will be a project that will change history.

so basically this project didn't change ____, coz this isn't really a collaboration at all. from what everyone seems to want, it's 2 artists doing 2 different things. could just as easily have been 2 separate threads. i thought the whole point was seeing something put together by 2 talented people and that was what made it special. guess not.

In all honesty, I never understood the collaborative nature of this project...but Rainman wanted it this way from the get go. It makes a bit more sense now that Rainman has said he is painting a few of the sculpts, but for the rest of the customers? It would be cheaper in shipping cost for me to buy the sculpt directly from Erick :dunno

Again... I agree.

I don't think the wait is due to Erick, but rather due to his caster. I know I've been waiting for my hobbit heads for good 3 months now and it's because his caster hasn't shipped them out yet.

Are you able to show pictures of the final outfit while we wait on the sculpt? Is putting the clothing sets up for preorder before the sculpt/clothing sets a possibility?

Erick, what's the hold-up! :panic:

Dunno, it was shipped two weeks ago.... hopefully it should be there very soon.

I believe Rainman explained that you guys can just buy the castings from me, as it would be pointless to ship unpainted heads to him only to be re-shipped back from Korea... I will talk to him about this again:)

Hi Carbo, I thought those had been shipped, I will talk to him right now.
We had a series of shipments that got lost, and he has been replacing them one by one. *Edit* Never mind , you are the one that is getting them as a gift right? No worries I will have them shipped right away along with the extra head sorry man my memory is bad... I remember now, and thanks to you I started said project, truth is he 's been busy and just had a baby a few weeks back, but still you should get them.

The casts are not delayed, the portrait was shipped two weeks ago to Rainman with a tracking # , and should be there any day, the whole idea was for Rainman to sell painted ones as part of his whole kit, but I will talk to him and perhaps we can fix this for you guys that really want the set of clothes already, I know you guys want your clothes and I see no reason why you shouldn't get them.

I hate to be an obstacle to anyone expecting his awesome works of art.

Again unlike Rainman and other amazing artists here, I do not do this for a living, and sadly have to comply with insane deadlines from industry clients, and as much as I need the cash from said industry projects, it is increasingly frustrating to me not to be able to do more portrait work, as fast and as detailed, and as often as I would want to, but it is the nature of the beast :( add to that the fact that I am a full time father with 3 toddlers... so it is a bit tough for me.

Maybe if I did this ( sculpting portraits) for a living and did not have to supervise many projects, I could crank out a good 6-10 portraits a month :) I do not know that that would benefit me financially but it would be a dream come true :)
Thank you guys for being so patient with me, but please do not worry, I will talk to Lee, and see what we can do as to not to deter this project any further, maybe Rainman can start selling the clothes, and I the castings separately and he can offer painted ones for his VIP clients, dunno, let me talk to him OK?
Thanks!
-Erick

Thanks for all the clarification Erick :) You are a cool dude, and an amazing sculptor. We appreciate you taking the time to offer your work to us here. I have one toddler and life is hectic, so I empathize! Apologies if my impatience made me come off as abrasive. :duff

No worries man, and thank you! sometimes I have to be working while babysitting... its funny, trying to sculpt while keeping my daughters from breaking my statues, or destroying my current projects... which by the way has happened once or twice :lol
