Re: ZoloWorld will be First to carry Go Hero Wrath of the Titans & Ferry Boat Man Ex

We set up at Chiller Theatre in Parsippany, N.J. over the weekend and wanted to show off some cool pics :)

That Cyclops is really sweet looking :rock

Re: ZoloWorld will be First to carry Go Hero Wrath of the Titans & Ferry Boat Man Ex

Thanks,

He is BIG. Had many inquiries on him over the weekend with cameras going off like he was a celebrity. Infact, he possibly had more pics of him than most of the talent in the facility LOL.

Have to say I really dig the packaging & graphics of the GoHero figures. I recently received the Flash Gordon, and from judging these pictures, the style looks very similar to the one of the skeletons. Classy. I wouldn't mind if the cardboard was a little sturdier. I know, some people throw the packaging away without giving it a second look, and, for figures that are mainly sold over the internet, it is not an important factor, but I think it can't hurt to appraise that part of the product once in a while. I like it.

does this mean he is coming soon???

We are hoping to have an answer for him soon. He has been on tour going from convention to convention.

Re: ZoloWorld will be First to carry Go Hero Wrath of the Titans & Ferry Boat Man Ex

The piece seems to be steadily moving forward... still no definite answer, but I'd say its likely going to happen.

It's gotta happen... it's way too cool NOT to happen!

Re: ZoloWorld will be First to carry Go Hero Wrath of the Titans & Ferry Boat Man Ex

Guessing the Cyclops is not happening... Day2Day (eBay name for the company I'm assuming) is selling a hand made one for a starting bid of $1,500.

Love the skeleton!

Re: ZoloWorld will be First to carry Go Hero Wrath of the Titans & Ferry Boat Man Ex

Skeleton Warriors are must-have figures :lecture I usually don't buy multiples, but I have broken that rule on a few occasions. 2 Stormtroopers and 4 of these skeletons :rock

Re: ZoloWorld will be First to carry Go Hero Wrath of the Titans & Ferry Boat Man Ex

I thought there was a dedicated thread for the skeletons but this is all I could find, maybe this is it.

How are people feeling about their skeletons today, were they really worth it? Jason and the Argonauts was my very favourite film when I was a boy, we had it on video and I'd watch it pretty much every week for a while there, but I couldn't bring myself to put down money on these skeletons, I wasn't so certain I liked them and yet now I kind of regret not buying. However, looking at Go Hero's website, it seems I'll have another chance at them, and possibly in an improved version, as they now say on the figure page:

"LOOK FOR SKELETON 2.0 in 2011"

Also, what do people have to say about Revoltech's Skeleton. This has just come out and yet strangely I find no talk of it. I think this is really what I was hoping for but in 1/6 scale, that looks to me more like the skeletons I remember.

Are these 1:6 scale skeletons? The shield is more accurate than the ones that came with the first release. I have 4 of the Go Hero Skeletons, I love them and still have them displayed. The articulation is small and the joints on mine are super tight. I don't move them much as I happy with them just standing there menacingly. Here are some of my shots.

I must admit though, if the joints pop out they can be pretty stubborn to go back in.

Those are nice pictures, a very nice collection. I particularly like the pose of the skeleton in the second last picture.

Are these 1:6 scale skeletons?

No, those are from Revoltech. They're only about 10 - 15cm high, which is a size that doesn't really interest me, seems too small. However, I have one Revoltech figure, just a robot figure, and the articulation is really incredible and so they have that going for them.

The colouring on the Revoltech skeleton is I think much better than the Go Hero. I haven't seen the film in a long time but going by pictures online it looks perfect whereas I don't understand the kind of dirty gold colour of Go Hero's. I think too that Revoltech better captures the strange menace, but Go Hero was also good there.

A 2.o skeleton? Interesting. Glad I only bought one. It'd be really nice if they released a better skeleton figure. While I like the first version, it's a bit too large, the head doesn't really have that "Harryhausen" look to it, and it's not articulated well (barely at all). If the small Revoltech figure can do decent articulation then the Go Hero skeleton should be able to do a bit better. Hope the 2.0 version is indeed improved in these areas.

Re: ZoloWorld will be First to carry Go Hero Wrath of the Titans & Ferry Boat Man Ex

I love the skeleton warriors I bought... I first bought a glow version and then picked up a 3 pack (so 4 total). Considering it was a 1/6 figure; with a totally unique body for $40 I really don't think you could go wrong with them.

Although I will agree Revoltech's version looks awesome... too bad its not 1/6 scale or I'd be all over it. I doubt a 2.0 Version from Day2Day will be much improved as I don't think it would be much of a money maker for them. I'd guess if anything there might be some different accessories, or different paint scheme; but the same skeleton.

Re: ZoloWorld will be First to carry Go Hero Wrath of the Titans & Ferry Boat Man Ex

I somehow forgot about the individual price (I was so set on the three-pack, I guess). For $40 in that scale, I agree that you can't really go wrong.

I ended up ordering two of the Revoltech figures. I think they're waiting for me at the post office now, I'm planning to go pick them up soon. I at first wanted to order three but at $30 each the price quickly gets to be too much for the size and so I decided to just start with two, thinking I can always buy more if I still felt I needed more. I'm glad I did this now because I see today that Revoltech is releasing a second version, coming out in April. I'm hoping they'll have a different base for variety's sake but at this time it appears that the only announced change is with the shields:
