Matyushenko vs Nog is still a good fight.

Since they're 1-1 the UFC could spin it like "The Epic Rubber Match..". :lol

I think the UFC will make Machida an offer he can't refuse. It's basically win/win. Beat Rashad, automatic title shot + fat bank. Lose to Rashad, fat bank + no harm since you took the fight on short notice and helped salvage a main event.

Sherdog reported the UFC told Machida even if he won he might not get the next title shot. :dunno

He got re-hired after T.Silva tested positive after their fight.

hmmmm, doesn't make his loss any less embarrassing imo. Wouldn't be suprised to see him lose his next fight, he didn't show any heart in that Silva fight. He better hope he gets a guy that is just gonna stand in front of him the whole fight.

yeah Vera is just scared to let his hands go. He needs to kick more and not worry about the take down so much. He has potential but the way he fights...people just run thru him.

OT but Anderson Silva is now officially 30-4. His first two pro fights were recently added onto his record (2 wins; 1 TKO/1 Submission from 1997).

That's cool when guys get earlier fights recognized like that.

Speaking of Silva Devil, I'd seen a few years ago he was going to try his hand at some pro boxing bouts. What ever became of that?

He still has the boxing bug a little (remember him wanting to retire/fight Roy Jones Jr.?) but I think he decided to focus on MMA instead.

He's also had at least 1 Kickboxing match as well vs. Tadeu Sammartino.

His boxing record is 1-0 with a 2nd round KO over Julio Cesar De Jesus back in 2005.

There's some dispute over his boxing record though. BoxRec has Silva listed as 1-1 with a TKO loss to Osmar Luiz Teixeira from 1998. But there's no proof of that fight ever happening (no video, no pics, no nothing) and even BoxRec lists the fight as unverified. Anderson Silva says he's only had 1 boxing match (vs. De Jesus). And just in general it makes no sense because at the time Teixeira was 11-2 in boxing. So why would a guy with zero fights make his pro debut against a guy who's already had 13 fights!?

Julio Cesar De Jesus was 0-0. Which makes more sense (both him and Silva were making their pro debuts vs. each other).

So who knows. I just recently found that Kickboxing match myself, so there's no telling how many undocumented fights Silva's had.

Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg were talking about this topic during Krzysztof Soszynski's last fight because he's another fighter with a crap load of uncounted/undocumented fights.

Thanks for the info Devil :rock

Aside from the Alvin and the Chipmunks rap song on the kick boxing video, that was good. After Silva knocked him down the second time, he just unloaded with those kicks and dude didn't stand a chance.

And De Jesus's strategy in that boxing video of just cover up and eat 10 shots, then throw a left hook and hope to land, didn't fare very well for him.

Just get a rap song on vinyl and play it at the faster speed. That's how we made Chipmunk songs when I was a kid :lol

he should be worried about being taken down, he's had his face broken from GnP in his last 2 fights.

UFC posted on facebook that Tito will fight Rashad at UFC 133.

Wow, so I wander what will happen if Tito wins, maybe I will get my wish in him fighting the loser of Ramp/Jones.

Told you, win/win for Tito.

And while White openly admitted prior to Ortiz's UFC 132 contest that a loss would mean his release from the UFC, the UFC boss said that will not be the case at UFC 133. In fact, not only is Ortiz's career not on the line – he may actually find himself in title-shot discussions should he upset Evans.

"Damn right he gets a break," White said. "Tito stepped up to the plate. It's ____ing weird here. It's like I'm dealing with a new person. I like it. I like the new Tito.

And now it looks like Machida F'd up.

Dana White today told MMAjunkie.com that Lyoto Machida initially agreed to replace Phil Davis and fight Rashad Evans at UFC 133 before balking and demanding "Anderson Silva money" to step in on short notice.

"Machida accepted the fight, we knew for a couple days this was going down, and Machida accepted the fight. Then when we called back and said, 'OK, we're going to make this fight,' Machida's people came back and said, 'We'll tell you what. You pay us what you pay Anderson Silva, and we'll take the fight.' This was after they had already agreed to take the fight.

"I said, 'Are you ____ing kidding me? I'll tell you what. You tell Machida he achieves what ____ing Anderson Silva has achieved, then maybe he'll make Anderson Silva money. Have a nice day.'"

According to White, Machida's camp made it clear there was no fear or concern in the matchup. Instead, their strategy all came down to financial promises.

"They said, 'Machida will fly out there tomorrow if you pay him what you pay Anderson Silva,'" White said. "They said they do the deal, then I call back to make it and what's what they said."

:lol:lol:lol

Machida:
____ you, Pay me!
