Re: NBA 2012-2013

What I don't understand is why what JStep says still bothers you. This is what he's always done and you bite every time. If you weren't so compelled to defend Lebron non-stop, this conversation wouldn't keep happening.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

I'm no Lebron fan, but Rodman is out of his mind. . .as if everyone didn't already know that :lol

I think one of Lebron's real problems in the 4th was that he was tired. He said he had to take himself out of the game at some point (end of 3rd or beginning of 4th?) because he was drained. Then they had him defending Tony Parker at the end, which is the hardest defensive assignment for the Heat. Apparently Spoelstra decided he needed Lebron defending more than scoring at the end of the game. Maybe he did, but there are consequences to that kind of decision.

Who cares what Rodman says..

I don't know why he takes it personal. I'm just pulling crap from the net and the Heat's shortcomings are a hot topic right now. I'm sure after Miami wins Sunday they will be anointed the next dynasty. That's how it goes. But in the the end, he could always just put me on ignore...

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Ok your a Heat fan, you can honestly say at the end of the game in the finals you want Bosh taking the three? I find that oh so hard to believe..

Re: NBA 2012-2013

I don't think Lebron would be average but I agree his level of play would be a bit different. I also believe Jordan would tear things up more now than he did in his day. Doesn't matter since it can't happen. I loved Rodman on the Bulls but that dude is nuts. As far as Karl Malone leaving Jordan out of the top 5. Well, he's still pissed Jordan beat him twice and we all know Malone is a big *** baby.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Playing devils adocate (as I usually do) and I'm sure that JStep will back me up on this (maybe not on this particular point, but my example):

I've seen a few games where the Spurs were down with less than a minute left. You would think Parker, or Duncan, or Manu would take the shot right? I believe the game was this year (I can't remember who the opponent was) but they ran the misdirection play for Danny Green. Last season, same thing, except the game winner was hit by Gary Neal. A few seasons before, Roger Mason, Jr.

Yes, I know, regular season and playoffs are too completely different animals, but still, if the open shot presents itself, take it. Plus the Spurs were absolutely collapsing on Lebron.

Lebron has to be more assertive in the fourth, though.

But as Josh pointed out, you really can't make too much of last night's game. It was an exceptionally well played game, with only 12 turnovers combined (Miami doubled up the Spurs 4 TOs, and that doomed them in the fourth).

The aggregate scoring of each team's big three was Spurs: 54, Heat 48.

Additionally, the game was reffed well, with the teams almost going to line evenly, 18 trips for the Spurs to Miami's 17.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

If anything Duncan should be getting the respect. Guys going for his 5th title, two time MVP, 3 time finals MVP, rookie of the year, 14 time all star. Guy is quiet and classy, yet the finals are all about lebron.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Actually Manu doesn't flop nearly as much as he used to but LeBron and company flops non-stop. In fact LeBron has been fined for flopping more than any Spur has since the NBA started fining players this season....

But I agree I don't like flopping, never did, never will even when the Spurs did it. But nothing I could've done about it...

Re: NBA 2012-2013

All the pressure is on them. Spurs did what they had to do. It will be interesting to see how the paper champs respond.
