What do you think of the usual plot holes? Like no one checking if Queen Amidala's claims about the blockade were true and stuff like that?

I love TPM a LOT, but I can't justify that stuff.

I would have thought Obi wan and Qui Gon would have confirmed her accusations, I assumed it just wasn't shown because GL had something else that was boring to show us.

TFA was just not good to me, though I did enjoy Finn and Rey, and Han and Chewie.

But AotC is in no way better......it's just....it's the black sheep of the entire franchise.

Ep 3 is terrible to me save for the Mustafar fight and the suiting up parts. But I'd say it's at most on par with TFA.

TPM is the only jewel of the prequels IMO. I used to dislike TPM (mostly because bandwagon) and I liked the other two (especially 3) a lot, but then one day I woke up and smelled the coffee. Best in the franchise for me is 1,5, and 6.

-midichlorians
-Anakin and Padme age gap
-sith rule of two

Midichlorians don't bother, since they're not supposed to be the force itself, just microorganisms that interact with the force, I like the concept, very meta.
The age gap was kinda Shakespearean, too bad the rest of the movie doesn't feel Shakespearean to go with it
The rule of two is pretty dumb, yeah, I see no point in that, why only 2 if they're trying to take over the Jedi?

I hate the midichlorians, they totally removed the spiritual aspect of Star Wars and the force, and the great mystery.

I also hated the immaculate conception thing.....and how they later implied in 3 that Palpatine caused the birth of Anakin. Honestly the whole prophecy thing was junk IMO.

The rule of two exists to keep the Sith focused and balanced. With a ton of them running around there would be a huge power struggle within their own order.

But that's another point why it doesn't make sense, there is ALWAYS a power struggle within their own order even with the rule of two, that's their whole deal, the Sith are a treacherous and chaotic bunch, who often entertain in exercises and teachings of NOT trusting EVEN your master, why on earth would they agree to such a thing? Also, some books before the "new canon" contradict this, that aren't really 2, just very few and very disperse, which is why they have to stay hidden, also, I remember in some Darth Maul book, in a mission, Maul is constantly wondering if his master has betrayed him while at the same time, venerating him.

If they meant only 2 a la "master and padawan" not only 2 IN TOTAL, then I'm ok with it.

Man of Steel is my favorite Superman movie. I always loved Lex Luthor, but I found previous portrayals of Superman to be a dull character (he's not a real person so the argument that people don't like him because they can't be as good as him is ridiculous) or an unlikable coward. It was a very flawed movie, but I appreciated having a Superman that has somewhere to grow from as a character and I liked the Kryptonian technological doodads. I liked that Clark had a father with a flawed idealogy because it gave me something to latch on. I don't think he was some kind of monster like people make him out to be. At least Clark could confide in him. I love my dad, but I never confided in him, and I would hide in the garage to get away from him, so to me, I don't get why people hate him so much.

I like that Clark is a flawed character, and yeah, he should have payed attention more, especially since he wasn't a kid, he was in his 30's. He's going to deal with the repercussions in BvS, so I'm fine with it. I geek out a lot and say stuff like "this character was inspirational", but that's just me using internet geek hyperbole—the same way I say "I love a movie" (I don't really love movies). Superman isn't real and I don't understand why some grown-ups treat Superman with such religious idolatry. These are grown men that dress up in pajamas to fight robot men and clowns! I thought of Batman and Bane when I'd work out or fight through pain as a kid, and I might think of Goku once in a while, so I understand the passion, but they're just lines on a page that I find entertaining. The writers are the ones that deserve praise if anything.

Wait, I never said I love Man of Steel. I just like it more than previous versions. There's no correlation. Now, the clip of Bruce Wayne working out in the Batman V Superman trailer. There's a correlations with that! I'd watch 2 hours of Bruce Wayne training, easily! Best movie ever!

When it comes to Dragon Ball, I like the comedy, the training, the characters,the hand-drawn animation, and the japanese voice acting and music. I actually prefer the original Dragon Ball to Z. And I'm not claiming that Dragon Ball is this great series either. It's a kids' show, and it's not very well-written, but I love my testosterone fueled soap operas!

Do you like it? Masako Nozawa is the reason why I love Goku and Dragon Ball series so much. I'm not into anime, but I just always want to see the authentic versions of movies or tv shows (I don't watch any other foreign tv shows, but if I did, I would see it in the way they were meant to be seen).

When it comes to being a geek, I'm very closeted about it, but I love Goku so much that I have no problem telling people that I like him. The problem is that I like the Japanese selfish, crude, hick character of Goku and not the English goody goody who spouts one liners version.

I love the Japanese version. He's like a childish, brain-damaged Superman.

I only got into DBZ because a guy at work was into it and it was on Toonami when I got home from work so it gave us something to talk about every day (we had a really boring job). But I ended up loving it, though I only watch it through the Cell saga and the movies. I had to buy the movies as subbed bootlegs from a video-game re-sale store. That's where I first heard the original voices.

I also bought a really expensive spring for my PS2 (or maybe it was PS1 still?) so I could play the import DBZ video games.

Those were the days. Tons of disposable income and time.

Damn I remember that spring and the 3 imported DBZ games (one might have been GT actually) and that adapter you put into the back of the PS1.
