The "Engage" hand and tea cup to me are too iconic not to have, so I went for the Standard. The Ressikan flute is a plus as an important piece that played in two powerful episodes. For me the padd, tricorder and phaser aren't as important for his character, but as they already produce these I see why they're included. I do like the "Darmok" unform, but I wish they didn't call it that because it's not, being an in-series costume redesign. I'll just plan to change out his uniform periodically as well as put other figures in different poses to break up the visual effect.

I get why Nanjin has produced the Picard Day banner: it's a fun accessory but I doubt I'll display it..... unless I win the lottery and add a Quark's Bar set to my display :sneaky:
mediame and Qui-Gon brought up an interesting point that hadn't dawned on me.... EXO-6 orders don't have sales tax for US customers! I started ordering from others instead of direct to save on shipping, but checking my past invoices there's really only a couple of dollars difference...:hammerhead: Ultimately to me that's not enough to offset the huge delay having the figures in hand, so I've returned to direct from EXO-6.

Exciting Stuff!!

Wasn’t the black part of his Darmok jacket a shiny leather?
You’re correct - the actual jacket he wore in Darmok did have the ribbed leather shoulders.

He wore the version that EXO is selling in a handful of other episodes.

I still wonder why the jacket got completely dropped after S5 (except that for one episode in S7). Did the producers tire of it or think it made Picard look too casual? I'm happy they did, but it's still a bit odd.

I ordered standard, because I wanted the little extras. The hand, the Hor'gahn.
I already have the QMX Picard, so I am breaking my own double-dip rule, BUT...I like the jacket too much not to get it. I'd love to get Sisko with his undershirt, green wraparound Kirk, and Jacket Picard together for a "casual Friday" look.

Wonder how much of a pain it’s going to be to change the uniforms. In some ways it’s almost too bad they didn’t just go with a full on two pack. Picard is iconic enough to warrant it.

I might just use the sculpt from the QMX figure and get a second body to use the EXO command suit and have two versions displayed.

I'm curious about how easy it will be to change as well.
I struggled on that with figures like Hot Toys The Wolverine and Stallone's Expendables figure. It can be fun to change the clothes, but the process itself has always been stressful to me.

Yeah I'm really nervous about that zipper in back as those can be really fickle at times. Or maybe he's using velcro instead like with the Sisko jacket?

If anyone has a good head shot of the QMx version it would be cool to compare against this one:

The above looks a whole lot better magnified. I guess Anthony at SixScaleMafia did take these pictures which is a surprise (this one is fairly good though).

I hate to keep harping on this, but I still think Nanjin went way too dark with the burgundy on these TNG uniforms. As I can't find any pic of the actual costumes that are dark as he has them. Either that or he based everything off the S1-2 uniforms which were a bit darker, both on set and screen.

Which is why I was one of the few who was excited for the "screen color" versions he was planning before, as those would probably be closer to the true set color. Sigh.

Sounds like Nanjin is toying with the idea of selling bodies separately so we can use our QMX sculpts with the Standard set to create two figures. I’m definitely doing that if it’s an option.

I'm fine with the darker red uniform. One, it's more like what I feel like I saw. Closer to TV than set which IMO is the way to go. Two, just watched an episode a week ago with Riker standing next to Picard and both had clearly two completely different shades of red. It's inconsistent and I just like the darker side.

The fact that Nanjin is alluding to us being able to use the QMX sculpt must mean that he’s still fairly satisfied with it. My guess is he wanted to go with something different for EXO but I don’t like it as well.

Aw Hell no, bro, you didn't just go there did you? The first rule of Exo-6 is to never talk about colour! You will draw the ire of the Man himself and he will tear you a new one!
