I think the black and white helps on that other one with the higher contrast - it makes his eyes darker (which has a HUGE effect on nailing the HF likeness) and the stubble stands out more too.

Also, the JND skin tone is completely wrong; HF was not a 2024 "sun smart" person, he was a super tanned 80's person. Why they have made him so pale is just odd.
I know what you're saying but the JND eyes color is extremely accurate to the green hazel eyes that Ford has. The reason they look darker is mostly due to them being deeply set in shadow due to his brow overhanging them. If you look at the "extreme close-up" of his eyes as he runs up to the camera in the Cairo basket chase scene from Raiders, you'll see his real eye color really clearly there. It's down to the way it's lit predominantly. I agree 100% about the skin tone though. He definitely needs to have a much healthier suntan than what they've currently given the portrait. I hope they can adjust that as "pale Indy" just doesn't look correct!

Here's one more attempt that I've made to try and show JND Studios what a difference it makes to have the eyes, eyebrows and hat shape improved.
As I've said before - they've got it SO very close. It's the eyes and eyebrows which let it down the most. Can you magine how incredibly with would be if it looked more like the image on the right!

I've sent it to Daniel at JND but would be great if someone can put that last photo onto their facebook page (I don't have a facebook account) so other collectors can see how such a relatively small change can totally make the portrait into a win!

Are you sending this stuff to them? You need to!
…. The fact you’ve sent them samples of the pants and they’re taking feedback from you gives this a better chance of being paid attention to than another random voice…

Yes I am. I'm sending them to Daniel Na who is hopefully forwarding them onto the art director as Daniel himself isn't able to instruct any changes. I've sent all of them to JND so I sincerely hope they they look at what I've edited constructively and hopefully agree with all of us who think the change to the eyes, eyebrows and hat is a significant improvement. Fingers crossed.

If those changes were made, I'd get this 100%. I NEED Indy in my collection, but as is I need to see better. Also, the whip they made him is just god awful. It's embarrassing to look at. I'd definitely need to upgrade that to a custom if I were to get this.

My question here is, what are the odds that JND makes a Raiders figure down the line? If this sells well do we see them expanding or is this a one and done deal? I'd prefer Raiders look Indy if I had a choice, however it's not like I dislike the LC, it's my 2nd favorite Indy look.

I can put you in touch with Joe Strain who made a PHENOMENALLY accurate 1:3 scale bullwhip for my intended upgrade to the JND statue to turn it into a Raiders version as best I can. There's photos of it earlier in this thread.

Too late! I already ordered one from Joe a couple of weeks ago after I decided to pre-order this :)

You're going to love the whip from Joe. It's mind boggling how he's managed to scale down the construction technique of the full size whips into 1:3 scale. Amazing craftsmanship

Thanks for sharing. Much like the pics of Reeve, you can tell there's some distortion going on with the photos so I'm not going to worry about anything. Plus, I'm pretty sure that's still the proto type since Reeve was the only one they mentioned being a production piece at the show

There is a sign next to the statue stating this is a production piece
