Question: I just bought a used 66 Batman on eBay and am wondering what the differences are between the HT and Saturn. I want to make sure what I got is legit.

Reason I ask is that the cape seems to have two snaps on it that don’t correspond to snaps on the suit. There are 2 fewer snaps on the suit than the cape.

Pictures would help. The most noticeable differences are on the head sculpt, chest emblem, and trunks.

I believe there is an extra set of snaps near the collar on the cape so you can position the cape more forward covering the chest/shoulders or pulled back exposing the shoulders, depending on which snaps you use. So 6 male connector snaps on the cape and 4 female on the suit including one pair that is closer to the belt on the back. I’m just trying to recall off the top of my head though, if you can post photos it is pretty easy to tell the Hot Toys from the Saturn version especially comparing the chest symbol.

For the cape, there should be snaps at the shoulders and mid back of the figure that connect to the 4 snaps on the cape. They're pretty easy to pull off, so they might've gotten pulled off by the previous owner. Both Saturn Toys and the official have this I believe. For the cape itself, the closure at the neck should have a metal silver "hook" piece that hooks over a black hoop string on the official HT cape. The Saturn Toys has both the hook and the hoop as silver metal.

Another tell of HT vs Saturn is what color the wrist pegs are. If they're black, they're original. The Saturn toys are flesh colored and are permanently attached to the body. If you want to go further, unzip the suit at the back and see if the underlying body is black (HT) or flesh tone (Saturn Toys)

One easy way to tell if you have an official is if the boots have the "Hot Toys Ltd" on the under side of the sole.
