I actually love Anthony Mackie. I like his acting.
I loved him in twisted metal.

Mackie was good i Pain and Gain okay as the Falcon, but NOT a leading man.

This trailer looked bad to me. Mackie was bad in the trailer showing his bad acting talent.

What was the plot? The WS rehashed, expect with a poorer main character and villain?

The CGI LOOKED BAD!

Looks like it could be entertaining. I always liked Mackey as the Falcon so I'll give this a go. If it's ****, I've wasted 2 hours on worse, I'm sure

Plus I’m happy Rosa Salazar is in a big budget film again. Really liked her as Alita.

He's got way too much blood on his hands and way too much history with the wrong side. Steve might forgive him and understand he was a totally unwilling tool, but the world? The mob piles on for much, much less.

I've seen dancers mimic combat quite beautifully via conditioning, physique, stamina, balance and flexibility in film -- but in over 25 years I've not personally seen a dancer move into combat sports as there are a number of other traits they tend not to have. Just my experience.

There aren't too many scenes where he's in a static situation. They restricted him to playing himself because he doesn't have much acting range. They tried to key in on his "everyman in a bad situation that keeps getting bigger" storyline. IMHO Mackie is a useful actor, if he's put in a good situation. He cannot elevate bad material though.

I agree with your Mackie analysis. He's fun to watch but has a limited bag of tricks.

I'm not seeing anything new in the trailer, but I'm also not seeing anything particularly bad. I've not been interested in the MCU for a long time but could see giving this a shot, in spite of the disaster that was TF&WS.

They def should have made Ford a new character and started fresh. If MCU felt like they needed to bring back Ross then they should have cast Sam Elliott.

Mackie just isn't leading man material. There were many problems with his season of Altered Carbon and he was one of them.

Yeah I can see this being another Black Widow, which was a really solid movie even if it wasn't top tier MCU.

Completely agreed. If the trailer makes him look like a bad actor, what hope is there for him in an actual 2hr movie?

To each their own, but what the heck in that trailer actually looked good? Certainly not the acting nor the CGI.

Harrison Ford looks washed up sorry but it's the truth. Just compare what is in the trailer to Robert Redford in the Winter Soldier. Yeah, Redford blows Ford Away.

Ford just looks like he doesn’t want to be there. If he doesn’t care then why should we.

Ford barely looked like he wanted to be in the last Indy movie. I think that's just his general demeanor now.
