So a few things I've noticed with my figure worth mentioning. First there's a small lump under the suit on the right leg above the knee. It's something soft, maybe some foam layer between the suit and body to keep the suit from sticking? I've massaged it and tried to flatten it out, but it's made little difference. Not a big deal, didn't even notice it until this morning. Anyone else see anything like this?

I have the same issues on mine. There is some on his left shin on my figure and I was able to flatten it a bit but it definitely does suck having it there.

Same, I was able to flatten it a little. But there’s no getting rid of if completely. Kinda the problem with these fully sewn in costumes.

I'm planning to get this but from what i've heard the snow particles on the snow base are coming off just like the Sandman diorama base. I don't want my display to be covered in white snow particles, has anybody experienced this?

Question for Spidey collectors - are most (all?) Spidey suits stitched up on the right side of the body and up under the right arm? Noticed a lot of people's Mile's has some visible stitching on the right side of the suit compared to the left being totally flat and seamless when I was unboxing mine.

In some photos of this one I can kinda see what looks like a thicker line on the right side than left.
It doesn't really bug me, just curious if that's how it is with all of them so I can tell the difference between a damaged suit and just how it is lol

Okay the next thing I noticed was that the masked head didn't quite lineup seamlessly with the body where they meet. The base of the neck over hung the body a little on the side toward the back and the web lines didn't quite match up. Depending on how the light hit it, it would cast a shadow and stick out a bit.

So I removed the black sticker from the bottom of the neck and carefully pulled the mask fabric off the underside of the neck and rolled it up the outside of the neck, allowing me to do some sanding to get the shape just right for a more seamless blend into the body when reassembled. I should have gotten some pics when it was disassembled, but once I got a good test fit, I just sealed it back up and didn't want to mess with it again. One thing I had to do though was buff the plastic where it was sanded so it was as red and shiny as the untouched plastic, otherwise it would be too matte in those spots when the light passed through the fabric.

Now it blends in better and there's no shadows or lip where they meet. I mean it's obviously a ridiculously subtle mod, but I notice the small things, so it's satisfying to me.

Hi Rory! Just unboxed my Spider-Man and mine seems to have the same issue. Love the end result of your mod, how difficult did you find this to do? What did you use to sand down the excess plastic and what was the process of sealing it back up? Would love to hear back as I’m also a sucker for the small things!

I no doubt ask in vain, but anyone know if there is anywhere you can still pick this figure up?

All figures with full body suits (not just spidey) that don't have a zipper are hand stitched on one side to close the open seam they used to cram the body inside, aka a ladder stitch. Same way you finish sewing a stuffed animal or pillow

Hey man. I used some fine grit sandpaper and went slowly, regularly test fitting to check progress so as to not over correct. It's also worth mentioning that you want to sand in a downward motion following the slope of the neck, so you don't blunt the edge and lose that smooth transition to the body. Once I had it at the right point, I polished the neck with a polishing stick for manicures to get the deep shiny black surface of the plastic back as the suit's fabric is somewhat transparent over the black and I wanted to make sure it blended in perfectly. Then I used some small strips of double sided Scor Tape to hold the fabric down to the underside of the neck and added the original black adhesive sheet over the top, as it was originally, to seal it all back up.

Very nice mod! Are all HT Final Suit Spidey's neck edges protruding like that from factory?

I am thinking of doing the same mod on mine, but I don't see any protruding edges like your before picture with my Spidey.

I pulled the trigger and did the mod lol, just made the edges less rounded. Thanks for the guide @rory btw.

The process was a lot more daunting than I thought it would be, but I am pretty happy of the end result.
