Meh finale to a meh season.

The way it played out it almost seems like they had something else planned for this season and then changed the story drastically for some reason last minute.

That's just a theory though.

Great ending, a lot of the usual chaos that I really enjoy. Also I like a lot of what they've set up for next season. I guess I gotta watch Gen V so I know who these people are at the end.

Overall I think this was a weaker season from the previous but far from bad. It wasn't like watching Game of Thrones just tank hours and hours of incredible writing and character development into the toilet. It was more filler-y build up for the final season and a bit on the nose about some of its satire.

Really pumped for the final season.

Boy, this season was...weak, but the next season should be very good.

I think Victoria had the two most surprising scenes.

I was not expecting her to die and when she tried to pop Homelander's head and didn't work. It showed how powerful Homlander is, so it'll be interesting to see if they can take him down next season. "

The plot armour is something else in this show.. I just can't take any of it seriously. Nor can I turn my brain off and enjoy it because it's reached a new low of stupid.

I think my biggest complaint, is up until the ending, nothing really happened to further the story. What a waste of a season.

Nothing surprised me either. Neuman's death was expected. And even then, so what?

Billy has octopus tentacles now. ok?

Kimiko spoke. Again, what's the big deal? lol

The Boys got captured... I mean at this point, why not just kill them? Regardless, the implications are void really.

I just felt nothing but boredom this whole season. I was much more engaged with the last one. Such a dip in quality. 1/5.

I think I'd rank them like this.
3 -1 - 2 - - - 4 as of now.

I liked the finale.
Butcher's new powers were a bit... surprising. But he's still an fine fellow and I still want him to die horribly. :lol

They weren’t that surprising if you’ve seen “The Boys: Diabolical” animated series.

There’s an entire episode dedicated to a husband that gives his wife who has cancer Compound V and it makes her tumour sentient and does pretty much what Butchers does.

Haven't seen that series, I'm usually not very interested in spin-offs.
Also, funny what the board's autocorrect did with the word "a-hole" I wrote... didn't even notice it :lol
I was expecting it to be censored, but that it got changed to "an fine fellow"...

It’s worth a watch I’d say. Especially the Homelander episode, gives you more insight into him as a person when he was younger.

I enjoyed this season as I have the others. This show isn't fine art or anything but it's consistently fun to watch. Webweaver was definitely MVP of the session.

Also, I started watching Banshee about a week ago and if you are an Antony Starr fan from this show it's definitely worth checking out as he is the star and provides a lot of male wish fulfillment. It feels like a spiritual cousin of Justified with a million times more sex and nudity.

Banshee is awesome. Lots of sex and nudity yes, and it also isn't shying away from brutal violence.

Sounds interesting... :monkey3
Where is it available?
It was initially made for Cinemax but can be streamed from the Max app now for some reason. The premise is insane and unbelievable, but if you can put your logical brain to the side it's a very fun show. When I compare it to Justified that is meant as a compliment (another show where, at times, it's best not to think too hard about what's going on). There is a major sub-plot involving the Amish community that's also different from your typical show. One Amish girl is a sexpot and one former Amish boy is the town's crime lord.
