STUNNING!

Thanks for the share @Shoo :hi5:

.

Hair is still too soft and eyebrows too long (and I still have qualms with the exaggerated anatomy), but the new paintjob and eyes make a massive difference. Not only am I tempted, but I'm tempted by the regular version of all things. Never thought that would happen.

Bugger - based on THIS - I'm now tempted too - and the bloody thing is WAY too big to fit in with the bulk of my collection.

Why no 1:4 scale ?!?!?!? :gah:

Same here. This would be bigger than the 1/3 Predator.

Normally I'd never do this, but at 42 inches he could go on the floor? He's about the height of a single besta with a PF on top...

The commitment to large scales these days -- especially in this economy -- really boggles my mind. And this sculpt would be killer in 1/4, much more appropriate scale.

Yeah, okay. The studio shot was nice, but in normal lighting (and considering how truly massive this will be), those eyebrows need to be farther apart.

Hair needs work as well. Hope that seam isn't on the final piece either.

I love the skull base. Got war paint version but went with the skull base to change it up since I have the 1/3

With the new pics and video, im glad i did.

Man… makes me want to switch from War Pain to Reg.. PCS said they would. I don’t know what to do lol

I have 1/3 in war paint but and it would make sense to have non war painted version. But War paint look and scene is so iconic.

Ant said the gallery would be updated, I hope that means warpaint as well. I'm not necessarily expecting a new paintjob for that one, but the new eyes should make a big difference.

EDIT:

Statue Con video from The Collectors Table:

It does look good, much nicer finish than the PCS 1/3. The outfit looks phenomenal, love the pants. Body proportions and pose could be better IMO, though not immediate dealbreakers.

Here's a GIF edit of one of the shots from the video, shortening and thickening the eyebrows to make them more accurate.

I quite like it with the brow fix (and this is a massive scale, so the difference will be felt from several feet away), but I don't want perfect to be the enemy of good, causing me to miss out on an otherwise potentially great piece.
I suppose the ultimate hack would be to buy the statue, dremel or sand off the brows near the nose, thicken them with apoxie resin, then repaint. :D How crazy would that be?

Then there's the question of warpaint vs regular. With warpaint, the brows are hidden and I'd be relatively comfortable preordering. With regular, I'd want to wait for in-hand pics... and it does have cooler pants.

Thought for sure we'd see the warpaint at SDCC. Maybe they're still modifying it?

Gallery updated for the regular:

Still a few photos of the previous version at the start, but most are new.

Starting to think the regular might be the way to go on this. His upper body is so over-bulked that it almost needs the baggier pants to balance it out.
