Really cool to see KP doing rooted hair. This figure looks amazing! All of their classic horror figures have been top notch.
To be fair, even the old Sideshow one had rooted hair. With the hat, it’s easier to do rooted hair as it’s usually the hairline that’s the hardest to pull off. Glad they’re doing it though.

Curious what all he’ll come with since most of the reference materials are lost at this point. Might be nice to have a fairly barebones release after giant doors, coffins, and organs.

It'll be up sooner than you think. Then pre-order and pre pay for 18 months. It'll be fine. Just make sure you keep your eyes peeled to get the exclusive one available only in Italy and pay extra, extra, extra, lol.

On a serious note: it is a nice figure, and I understand the excitement. Unfortunately I think the only thing that couls get me off my wallet on any KP product moving forward, and even jump through hoops would be Vincent Price, Psycho, or The Wolfman.

A Norman Bates and Mother set would be one I couldn’t resist.

Well it’s a grey, which is maybe a happy middle ground. In some images and even that poster in the previous page makes the hair seem light, maybe even white. And in some images almost pure black. I’d say the grey works and looks fine. Although all the Sideshow figures may have something to do with that. The lack of proper reference material existing is a problem. Only a handful of photos to go off of is tough to make a figure on these days.

Yeah I’m sure we’ve made it out to be a masterpiece but really it’s Chaney’s make up is the most memorable thing about the film. I didn’t find the Mark of the Vampire remake all that great. I guess I was mostly disappointed with it being an act than an actual vampire. Plus there wasn’t the cool Chaney makeup.

I loved Mark of the Vampire because of the atmosphere and Ole Bela.

It’s been so long I probably ought to give it another try. Might be one of those cases of expecting too much and it not living up to my self imposed hype. Another viewing more in check, I might enjoy it more and appreciate it for what it is. Bela was a highlight though for sure. I would have kind of liked to have seen Chaney Jr take a stab at his dad’s role but I don’t see how they could have passed on the Count himself in the role.

I bought the old Sideshow figure on Ebay years ago along with their Nosferatu, but sold them both long ago as I never felt any connection to them - even less for London After Midnight than Nosferatu for obvious reasons.

For what remains of the film, I think this is it:

You mean that kind of Vincent Price ?

Seriously though, I didn't see all of these figures. I though they announced too much figures but I didn't even see this London by Midnight, and also Re-animator.
It reminds me of some companies like Big Chief Studios : a lot of announcement and then they went into liquidation... 😰
I won't pre-order anything. I will wait for the actual releases.

Is that the statue head on a custom body?
Yes.
I bought a broken statue for a not too expensive price and I made a body with multiple heads options (to save space in my collection)

I used magnets for super easy swaps between the heads. And they are strong magnets, I can hold the figure by the head, it will stay attached.
The heads look like that :

It doesn't work for every character of course but for "men in suits", it's a fun way to avoid spending 300$ per figure and spare some room to display figures.
