InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I had planned to get multiple Nazgûl assuming that we would just get the figures, never even dreamt we could get the steed. This changes everything.

Now I want to see Lurtz, a Moria goblin, a cave troll….

There it is!!!

The horse looks pre-posed, and I am more than happy with that, they chose a perfect one. Is it…textured or furred? I am not sure what the right word would be, but it doesn’t look like sculpted texture on the body. I dread to think of the price, but will be a day one pre order

Hide looks smooth but there must be texture. I do see some wounds, so that's good.

The only issue with a pre-posed horse is if you get multiples, they'll look weird standing next to each other. But it's great for realism.

Unless I win the lottery, I think only one of these is in my future, so a static pose is going to be a unique centerpiece for this collection.

Great and all but I would have rather seen Legolas.

The Nazgul itself is getting a little lost there, not counting the bad futzing.

At this point, I'm not seeing the high end aspect. The sleeve isn't ragged, it looks tailored with a hemline.

Is it just me, or does that horse look a bit under scaled?
Could be the angle of the shot, but I dunno, just doesn't look quite right.
Reminds me a bit of my old Toybiz horse and rider sets, where the rider never sat right.

Chalking this up to the usual "horrible 1st pictures" (and video)...

I thought the same

Photographing it with a wide phone lens from above like that almost definitely will make the proportions seem wrong. Nobody seems to have taken a photo of it from an angle where it would be easier to judge yet.

Were their horses brown? I always remember black.

You don’t like this?

I mean I get that there are people who didnt get one or more from Asmus but is really a headless, faceless figure more important than Legolas?
And this will be imo at least a 100$ more expensive than the Asmus one without the Horse ofc.
With Horse somewhere in the 600$-800$ range.
Again for a faceless/headless figure in full black clothing.
With the addition of yet another franchise (Walking Dead) getting the Fellowship will take really ages, like many many years.

A horse for my Nazgul is on my list of "figures I might want in the future", but oddly this is not doing much for me right now.

I'll wait for more shots in the future.

Some more photos found on Facebook. I think maybe because the horses neck is arched down it appears small but that damn sure looks like a pony to me! Needs to be slightly bigger.
