Mars Toys 1/6 scale 1989 Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger)

Just to add to the madness that is Mars Toys utter unpredictability - in the time since Gus Fring was put up on pre-order and I paid my deposit they have teased, announced, put up for pre-order, released and in some cases re-released their '66 Batman, Robin and Joker, their '89 Mime and Mobster Joker, Alfred and Bruce and a few others besides.

I like the company and some of their figures are among my favourites and they genuinely excite me with the licenses and characters they choose.
But I do wish they focused more on delivering figures so I could feel a little more confident on the ones they keep promising.

THIS! I have paid off the Gus Fring 2 pack and the orange chem suit from them. Announcing new products would be awesome if they were able to release figures regularly as well.

There appears to be no rhyme or reason when it comes to Mars Toys. They have prototypes that look ready (66 Penguin) still not up for pre-order over a year later, figures that take years to release and some nice renders that seemingly go nowhere. But then Alfred seems to come from nowhere and be released in just a few months.

Can't complain too much when they've already given us four amazing DC figures I never dreamed we'd see. Romero Joker, Mob Boss Joker, Bruce Wayne and Alfred. Not to mention the DX08 and 66 Batman & Robin recasts.

Still, it would be nice if they were a little more open and less cryptic about some of those teased figures and pre-orders.

The speed of Alfred's production was surprising and shows you what can be done.

Think Mars (or whoever does eventually make a Viki Vale figure) would be wise to offer a few outfits, or at least put it to a poll.

Mars has done the Gala Bruce so they might be making her to go with that. The hair sculpt certainly matches.

Got a bit excited with the bump. Thought maybe there was an announcement.

I just don't think I could sacrifice the shelf space for a Vickie Vale. Hell, I even passed on Bruce and Alfred. Costumed characters only for me unfortunately.

Hey HT and/or Mars and/or Jazz (who have eyes everywhere) need to know people are still interested.
Especially now that HT's Cathedral and Shoe diorama is shipping, people need this figure to justify that shoe.

I think Vicki would be cool to have. You could use the new deluxe Hot Toys Batman and the DX08 (or the Mars Joker) to recreate the final scene. At least that’s what I’d do. Need to get a Nicholson Joker though.

I'd love to do something like that but space is just too limited. No way I could make room for these huge bases and side characters.

So yeah, could be the Wayne Galla look is what they are going for, so their three figures work together:

Mars experimenting with rolling eyes for Penguin. Hope that works out for them and they can use the tech towards all future figures.

I’ll take her in the gala dress to match Bruce and Alfred.

The white cathedral look is the most sensible as it pairs best with Batman and Joker in their most iconic scenes together.

The green/teal museum dress would be the most dynamic on its own (and would pair well with Mars' Museum Joker sculpt).

The Wayne party dress is hideous and is almost single-handedly responsible for Bob Ringwood demanding that Linda Henrikson be credited as doing Kim Basinger's outfits specifically, as he didn't want anyone associating him with it.

I WANT

Right now I'd take any version. The more characters we get the better. Already so grateful for Alfred, Bruce and the mob Joker. A goons pack including Bob, then Vicki would really round out the display.

Someone needs to make Max Schrek to. The only true villain of Batman Returns.

I said in one post if they ever did a goons pack, just the jackets accessories etc, a couple of head sculpts and we can get our own bodies to bash I’d happily accept.
