Looks like Wonderworldbpr is making a leather coat and belt and Anduril sword for InArt Aragorn. Coat and belt cost $154 the sword costs $185. I'll buy the coat and belt as I prefer an actual leather coat. hmm...

I'm interested in a coat replacement myself. I'm not sure that's much of an upgrade though. Leather is not a great choice of material. You want something lighter, that can fold, crease, and drape.

Not in tune with all the details, not even getting Aragorn myself but I’m curious. This look is what he wears during the final battle in FotR, right? Does he ever wear the Elven cloak above the leather coat?

I'm uneasy about fit as well. When I first got into 1/6 scale - plenty of collectors probably already walked this road -

well, Bucky, for one thing. Picked up a nice red Henley to do the CW scenes. Didn't fit over the metal arm of the HT and multiple rinses it was still running dye. Or the buttons are off scale.

That was just one lesson. You get a 3rd party outfit and the stitching might be nice but it doesn't fit the body blah blah and it all starts adding up $$$$. Heads don't fit the original neck, etc. Kit bashing IMO is one d@m thing after another. 😁

I'd love a leather coat/belt but will look at it as a long term project. I'd have to study the original as this 3rd party looks like it won't fully close. I don't remember if the movie coat could, since it seems to be more of duster, but that's a thing with me even at 1/6 scale - too tight coats that aren't functional, really. Which would mean trying to stretch the leather.
It does have a waist tie but you never see it tied as far as I can remember; it's generally open with the left side tucked behind the sword.

I did make a real handstitched leather coat for the Asmus Aragorn which I'm hoping fits InArt as I definitely don't have time to make a new one. Attached a couple of crappy photos of it but it's pretty close to movie accuracy down to the weathering and black leather patch on the right sleeve.

I really don't know how YouTubers (excluding Chinese) manage to make Aragorn's HS look so bad in their videos...
It's really only in the Chinese reviews where I've seen Aragorn's HS really well highlighted and perfectly resembling the prototype, in the others they massacre it...

It's not bad, but I prefer the InArt material which is not leather and which will therefore last longer over time.

Leather will also last long. This isn’t pleather which will deteriorate over time.

A red shirt would be quite interesting
Grabbed a spare Asmus one very quickly after ordering my InArt Aragorns.
It could certainly be improved upon along with InArt’s duster, belt, and jerkin.
The duster especially since the finish isn’t right and it looks too large and thick.

Does he ever wear the Elven cloak above the leather coat?
He receives the cloak at Rivendell so wears it over the duster in the gift-giving and ’We shall not meet again’ scene with Galadriel and as he rows out onto the river.

Although he charges out from Amon Hen at the end of FOTR ‘travelling light’ without the duster, Two Towers opens with him wearing all his layers and the cloak, which becomes his primary look for the rest of the trilogy- baring a shirt change.

Man forget the coat, look at that hair fix. Looks amazing here.

My comment wasn't a "well if you think you can do better" type thing. Apologies it came across that way. I was just saying you are a poster who I always thought had something interesting to say and if you had a channel I would surely subscribe. That's all.
Ok we can be friends again

Looks good but why would I want Anduril without the new scabbard and belt Aragorn receives and wears with it?
He also requires the red undershirt to be accurate so this is a very incomplete release form ww.
Aragorn never actually wears the Anduril scabbard with this outfit. Never wears it until his coronation. When he receives Anduril he straps it to Brego when leaving for the Paths of the Dead. He takes Anduril with him inside but Brego runs off with the scabbard still attached. Presumably, Brego returns to Theodens army and then goes with the army to Minas Tirith. Aragorn then leaves with Brego (with the scabbard attached again) to the Black Gates where for some reason everyone gets off their horses to charge the Mordor army. So Brego effectively disappears with the Anduril scabbard again...

Always found that kind of funny.

Still would be cool to get an Anduril scabbard so Aragorn can at least hold it for the reveal scene...

Well said! In the movie the poor fella has to run through the Paths of the Dead to Lebennin to Battle of the Pelennor Fields carrying it in his hand 😅

Such a beautiful piece. Jedha did an excellent job showing off that sculpt. Went the extra mile with some of the poses as well.

This is also the biggest difference I've seen between a sculpted and a rooted variant. There's absolutely no comparison in my mind.. Rooted wins by a landslide.

Yep, I feel sorry for anyone that somehow convinced themselves that the rooted version is garbage.

Honestly I don't think InArt does sculpted hair well, it looks very toy like.
