Andor was last years show, product already long gone from disney store until s2. Andor did also get little product support due to expectation of companies that it would fail. Instead it became a fan favourite so season 2 will likely get stronger merch support.

Acolyte is recent. It is a show all about jedi and sith with lightsabers, it should be a big hitter for merch but the show failed so what merch there was got pulled.



Hopefully the sequel trilogy gets same treatment so more loved and profitable movies/shows get more product

Andor also had better viewing figures than Acolyte.

You miss my point with the post. If you search other SW items you’ll be surprised what you find.

For example

Luke Skywalker 6 items

Leia 8 items

Rey 3 items

Kylo 6 items

Vader 45 items

Ahsoka 42 items

People are making the Acolyte merch thing a bigger deal then what it really is. Like Andor they didn’t make a lot of merch for it to begin with. They pulled the Andor merch from the store too after a while.

Now to a couple of you points. Andor didn’t get much merch not because it was expected to be a failure but because it wasn’t a show really aimed at kids and not very toy friendly. Similarly The Acolyte wasn’t aimed at kids. It did have Sith and Jedi, but the kids aren’t going to engage with that show and it had more adult themes. So not a lot of merch made.

Also My if it’s doing so bad why is merch still being made point holds up just fine. Rey still has merch being made and Kylo has the same amount of merch in the store as Luke.

Agreed but that’s not the point I was making that he was referring to. I was addressing the whole hyperbole over the Acolyte mercy not in the Disney store thing.

So is the point that Disney is already not trying to make money off Acolyte?

More that they seem to be taking a Andor season 1 approach to the Acolyte merch.

Didn’t make a lot of it, didn’t sell great. Only real difference is in the shows themselves and how they were received.

IMO both shows were creative tests. Seeing if there is an audience out there that will watch something SW that isn’t tied directly to Skywalker saga. Andor succeeded mostly. Acolyte seems to have failed.

She is pretty, has great assets and seems to have a fun attitude most of the time. Her acting skills aren't so great and the dis track was very ill advised but hey, she could improve her acting (or maybe like Portman in Phantom Menace it was a directing issue) and she may mature a bit and avoid antagonising audience in future so I am willing to not hate on her.


The characters she played however... they plain suck. Like Jar Jar and so many others did.

Most Acolyte merch isn't even out yet. Its POs. And Disney did in fact have merch up on their site up until recently. The smilo ren black series helmet isn't out yet. It was on the Disney store for PO recently.

The shirts, cups, and and other chachkis were available. That was the bulk of the merch. It was mostly the usual Merch Disney makes for all new shows and movies. Something for fans to get immediately.

Aside from the Hasbro helmet what other pre order stuff were you referring to?

Theres Book of Boba Fett merch that pulls up in a Disney Store Merch, but no Andor merch. Why is there BoBF merch but no Andor merch? Answer which is the same for your question. No one knows but Disney. We can make guesses and have opinions on why but no one knows for sure and probably never will.

I wasn't the one who cleverly found Disney erased the Acolyte from the Disney store. It was reported all over social media sites and what not. I have no idea what was on there and then what wasn't. I'm just pointing out reported facts. Its not a conspiracy. Disney did indeed remove Acolyte stuff from the Disney store. The only thing I know I have seen on there was the Smilo Ren gimp helmet.

D23 expo or whatever also was just recent. I got the emails telling me not to miss out on all the wonderful exclusive stuff.

Exactly why they did remove it? Don't really care. But its odd it coincided with the announcement of canceling the show and that there will be no s2.

She does have a nice body.

But so does my neighbor and when she comes out in a bikini her parrot that sits out on the patio immediately does the construction site “sexy” whistle lol
