I half want TMP McCoy but half don’t really care. I feel like Kirk and Spock have more interesting looks.
I’m with you, definitely a unique figure and a nice homage to that particular scene but I’m much more drawn to the Monster Maroons and will be focusing on those versions.

Bones🙂

Agreed, and for $200, he comes with nothing but the clothes on his back and his medallion. I get it, because at this point in the movie he had just been drafted from retirement and wasn’t even a practicing doctor. But given that, I would have been much more likely to pull the trigger at $175 like the others from TMP that basically came with nothing.

And out of context, I’m not sure I’d even recognize Kelley from that sculpt.

This is may take some time to ponder….

Pondering complete. Ordered!

We’re not going to get many Doctor McCoy figures from EXO, and DeForest Kelley REQUIRES having a place of honor in the collection. Also hoping they are already improving that sculpt. NT says that they pretty much never have a fully refined production sample on hand for these promo photos, so fingers crossed. 🤞

Did anyone save any photos from the first few times TMP McCoy was teased? I don’t remember being quite this underwhelmed by the sculpt before. Good example above @davejames. Anyone have the rest of them?

I read this and said, "Who's he kidding? He's ordering this", and then the very next post. lol

Anyway, finally, a figure I'm interested in! I put my pre-order in. It has been nearly a year since my last pre-order, which was Lt. JG Saavik all the way back on 09/19/23.

Getting it to complete the set but not as thrilled about it as I was previously. I’m at least glad the figure didn’t become a scramble to get as I know at one point Nanijn was thinking of really limiting it and making it a lottery system or something to get.

I've never seen a more bare"BONES" figure at this price before, from EXO-6 or any other maker. Not an accessory in sight. Hopefully they throw in a 1:1 badge or some other extra, but I'm not counting on it.

Whatever, I still ordered this because I like the idea of finally completing the Motion Picture trinity. It's been awhile since Kirk and Spock and I was really hoping to firm up the ST:TMP series a long time ago, before diving deeper into the other various EXO-6 lines. The three will look great together and one distinct chapter of EXO-6's promise to Trek fans will be complete.

None of the figures have really been limited and I doubt if they will ever be as he needs to sell X figures to justify production. Even TMP Kirk and Spock were both available at launch . The typical sales pitch that is made on every figure.

I would again buy what you love and not buy every figure that comes out thinking you will miss out at preorder

I understand the idea behind it but I still really wish Nanjin would have reconsidered the choice of outfit. It’s so odd looking. Even knowing what it’s supposed to be.

TMP Kirk and Spock were limited and a bit of a scramble. No preorder. Instant purchase. It’s part of what drove the prices on them so high in the aftermarket at first. He later “found” more but there were a lot of people on line complaining of missing out.

Janeway was also super limited at first. She sold out in minutes. Nanjin didn’t expect that many people would preorder her and he scrambled to get a second batch of her done.

Sadly with figures that have alot of accessories averaging close to 300, I think 200 is the new norm for bare bones figures. Unless it’s a 3rd party or Threezero.

Oh you are correct TMP S and K were not preordered but immediate purchase and they did sell out. But he somehow found some mysterious stock available after the initial sale
