EXO-6 Star Trek “The Motion Picture (TMP)” Figures

Was really hoping we'd get a clean-shaven McCoy

Yup it was a fun scene in the movie, but not sure it's a look that deserves to be memorialized for all time in 1/6. And while the regular TMP uniforms were rather bland on screen, I think they could have looked cool as hell in figure form, and it's a bummer we'll never get to see them.

Yes I would have much rather had Kirk, Spock and Bones looking like this! I would actually go for the whole crew I think.

I agree, but I do like the idea of scene specific looks as well for big events. Nanjin has said he's interested in Kirk and Picard in their first meeting attire from Generations. I love that idea.

Yeah, I think I want to get the chair and then commission some additional flooring to pose other crewmen around it, like the promo pics. It's going to cost a lot to get the uniforms made though.

I concur, these releases are too scene-specific for me and I prefer the uniformed versions so I only went for Kirk.

For me, I feel like I will have uniformed versions of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy from TWOK. The only uniform I actually liked in TMP was Kirk's, as it was the only one that didn't look like pajamas. So I'm pretty happy to have these options.

We were supposed to get a full reveal/pre-order in January but obviously that has come and gone. I think the last thing was that they're still working to improve the outfit.

Everything is later than planned but that's fine as long as the things keep releasing. I wouldn't expect stuff to be on time ever at this point. Again, that's fine and that's just how it works out sometimes.

Excuse or Reason still need to be explained.

We need a bit longer time on TMP McCoy. The fabric that we used just not practical even it is simular (in miniture form) to what we saw on screen.

But this fabric acts like Air Filter if put in open space. Our proto that was done a few months back started to cover with dust or micro particles due its filter like threads and the statics that comes with the fabric.

We all want these figures to last. Therefore, we must change the fabric, and speed up the process.

I want to see the 3 Kings in the chair.

The unrelenting battle with dust. I wouldn’t personally keep any of these in an open shelf but not everyone has that option. I wonder if they discovered this by accident or if they subject every release to a “longevity test”.

I honestly think it was kind of just standing around until someone could get back to work on it and then they noticed that it wasn't as vibrant white as it had been.

I look forward to getting TMP McCoy but I have four EXO-6 pre-orders right now so I have plenty to look forward to in the near future. Geordi and Saavik probably sometime next month and Kruge in August with Ro somewhere in there as well.

Lol, figures getting dusty over time doesn't seem like breaking news. Unless the issue is that it's hard to remove the dust from this fabric once it does get on there?

Either way I'm not too bothered by the delay on this figure, and would rather he focus on other stuff anyway.

I half want TMP McCoy but half don’t really care. I feel like Kirk and Spock have more interesting looks.

Even as a kid I knew McCoy looked ridiculous. TMP is pretty bad anyways. The other movie versions look great though.
