What scale is the StarAce?

Perhaps if the StarAce Zuul statue is placed higher in the display (further away from the figures), it can give the illusion that the two are in the same scale?

At least with creatures and ghosts, it is more difficult for StarAce to screw up the headsculpts (like they do with human characters).

Kinda silly for them not to go 1/6 with these. Also looks like Aussies might miss out on the light up deluxe because of the stupid battery laws. PopCultcha only has the standard listed.
This could have easily been usb powered too if the stand contains the batteries.
Oh well. I might still be tempted though. Would love a Zuul on the shelf.

That Terror Dog sculpt is okay from a distance, but the detailing looks rough as hell. The real questions is, who is Star Ace trying to appeal to with these? The scale doesn't appear to fit in with any established figure lines.

Yeah, if they were 1/6 scale I would probably buy the Terror Dogs to put on my Ghostbusters display. Alternatively, if I knew these would be amazing quality I would consider buying. But they aren't going to check either box so a pass.

The Terror Dogs and Slimer are 1/8 scale. Stay Puft obviously much smaller.

I don't know if I'm happy or sad I have 0 faith in Star Ace.

I might take a gamble and get these as the sculpts can be replaced. If present toys comes out any good it also gives a body etc for those spare heads.

the Blitzway figures came years ago, and they can at least use those figures as a benchmark and improve it on their own..

We would of had Mattel, Blitzway, present toys and now Star Ace so not bad over all for the fact we've actually a fair few.

R.I.P to the soldier story ones. They actually looked decent.

Look like cartoons.

Sculpts look really good, both better than bltzway honestly, but unlikely the production versions will be comparable. Venkman's pants are also the appropriate length, though the flight suits have a cheap kind of look overall. I'll see where this goes, though.

They give me Mezco 1/12 scale vibes, espicially the proportions on Winston. These are also the prototypes, which means this is the best they’re ever gonna look. Production is gonna knock these into the ground even further.

Crazy that this company got the license.

Their Venkman sculpt is an improvement over Present Toys, though the hair it throwing it off. They need to lose the thick forelocks, and move the hairline back. Murray hadn't had hair that thick since the 70s.

Winston on the other hand, bears zero resemblance to Hudson. Genuinely wondering if they don't have the likeness rights for him?

Zero faith in Star Ace. Cheap plastic looking equipment on belts, elbow pads and boots are trash. Easy pass.

Despite having a ghostbusters sized hole in my collection, and really wanting some decent figures to come out, I refuse to buy these on principal alone. ESPECIALLY at $285 a piece…
This company has put out some of the worst 1/6 releases I’ve ever seen. I have 0 faith these will look anywhere close to their prototype, which is already kinda meh.

I don't think it would be bad if they put out a slight drop in quality but the fact Star ace has been around for so long. Yet fail to improve it's almost like they don't care about their reputation or customers!

As hopefully as I am for this I dunno if I'm willing to test the water for the price. Just over $1,100 for a set I'm halfway to the Blitzway set.

I'm very very curious as to how present toys deliver theirs! If there's anywhere that takes deposits I might chance it and cancel if they come out so bad they can't be salvaged, just not sure I wanna drop that on this company.
