That's really nice artwork. I would love to own a ST pinball someday... but please tell me that the game really doesn't flash like that. I don't know if I could take it more than a few mins..
I believe it blinks slower than that. Click the picture, it slows down.

Has anyone ordered Exo 6 from Big Bad Toystore? Do you know how much longer it usually takes them to get their Exo stuff in after Nanjin releases them? I'd always ordered direct from Nanjin. I figured I'd try BBTS for Geordi and SNW Spock but neither have hit yet. I figured it would be probably a 2-month extra wait but am now hitting 4 (I think) after Exo released them. Just curious if anyone has gone the BBTS route and what the wait times are like?

I believe it takes them a while to get EXOā€™s stuff in. I am not sure if they actually order directly from EXO or through a distributor. They are a great store in my opinion if I am not buying direct I typically use them.

I have ordered every one of mine from BBTS - there has been a consistent 2 month (8-9 weeks) gap between folks here getting in-hand copies direct from EXO-6 and BBTS stock arriving with them.

I ordered Locutus and Archer from BBTS, I seem to remember it being more than 2 months for me, 3-4 sound right. I switched to direct as Iā€™m no longer being charged import fees.

BBTS's Pile-Of-Loot feature makes them the best retailer on the planet for International customers (assuming you are not in any hurry - which is an intrinsic part of the POL option!) - and their $4 per item shipping for USA customers can't be beat either!

Their Customer Service is also the VERY best ANYWHERE . . .

(* Having said that, there's this place I found on Alpha Centauri, but delivery is a bit slow, because "Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.ā€ *).

That last bit is not quite right. Youā€™re forgetting the very reason for having a Pile-of-Loot feature.

BBTS shipping is not ā€œ$4 per item.ā€ It is $4 per _shipment_!

I let my items pile up until I decide to empty the pile. I can choose to ship everything at once or only ship certain items together: shipping is still only $4 per _shipment_.

Last week I shipped 6 of the 9 items that had been accumulating in my PoL over the last couple of months. I was only charged $4.

However, I never let Moducases go to my BBTS Pile. Itā€™s best to ship heavy items separately as soon as they come into stock. Although yesterday I did ship two Moducase DF120s for only $4 total.

The reason BBTS can offer $4 shipping is because they tend to overprice items. Hence their Moducases tend to be more expensive than ordering direct from Moduspace or other vendors like SS or SpecFic.

FWIW, BBTS can take an excruciating amount of time to get in Moducase preorders. But if you time it right you can nab Moducases immediately once they do come into stock. I just bought six DF12Os and four DF60s last week and they are already arriving at my door! Beats the 10-to-12 month wait from other vendors!

You just have to be alert when it comes to nabbing Moducases from BBTS. As they come in, many people will cancel preorders. Just be ready to pounce when the opportunity arises!

Happy hunting!

Guys

Nothing wrong with saving a few dollars on shipping but please don't fall for the marketing spielā€ they will never be made again, this is a once in a life time opportunity, X is now overtaking Y in sales, I need to sell every line to fund TOS etcā€ Buy ā€œonly ā€œif you love the character AND you can afford a $225 figure that sits in front of you etc.

Here is a good friend that just let the figures consume him and now it is out of control

Oh man that is painful. I feel for him. I donā€™t think I even want to guess at the amount of money that was spent. You definitely have to keep a firm stance on how much money you can or want to put into it and how much space you have or else it can spiral out of control quickly especially with how easy it is to preorder something.

I can see EXO Star Trek being a hard one too because there are so many series coming and they all have a core cast of characters. If you go down the rabbit hole of wanting them all it can be overwhelming. I very quickly realized I was going to just have say no to most series. The core of the TOS, movie and TNG series are what I am trying to limit myself to but even that is a lot of figures.

Wise decision. I have been at this for 15 years and I definitely donā€™t fall for the sales pitch and buy only what I know I love and no more.

I have seen so many collectors buy everything under the sun and then burned out and then have to sell everything or lose everything like a drug addiction. Very unfortunate and sad

Yup. When Nanjin got the license I proactively sold off figures to make room (and have finding) for Star Trek. I am sticking hard to if I donā€™t have room to display it then I either need to pass or let something else go to make room. Same philosophy on financial end too. Sometimes itā€™s not easy but it helps keep me from getting in over my head with figures especially since my display space is very limited. I have one room where things are displayed and then I have just a few others at wife approved locations.

Yeah unfortunately there's WAY more cool stuff being made these days than I have space for in my house (especially since I've started getting into statues and busts recently as well). And I've reached the limit of creative ways to make room for it all. šŸ˜„

Arenā€™t you and another guy here buying almost 99% of every release from EXO ?šŸ˜†

I think my entire collection is under 200 figures and Iā€™ve been collecting since 2012.

Some people just get too buy happy when getting into hobbies like this. I have a decent amount on pre-order but generally pace myself pretty well to not overwhelm my wallet or space.

I think I am probably around 30-35 1/6 and then I have some other figures. Mostly Lord of the Rings. I have been in the hobby since Sideshow made Aragorn but I tend to sell when I get more. At one point I was probably pushing the 75 range but figures were cheaper then and I had less other expenses.
