Sucks but, I have the feeling Inart probably gonna sell the cloak like they did the Joker detonator. And something still feels morally wrong about that. Having to purchase something that’s should of been part of the included items smh.
That's what I was thinking too. "if you really want the cloak, here it is for purchase now!"

Finally had some time to dive into it. The base outfit is honestly really quite nice. The outer coat is thinner than it looks and drapes really well. You would think with the way it looks, it would be a super stiff and thick rubbery material but it's not. Feels like a really nice draping cape, which is funny coming off of their recent Batman figure which didn't have a drape cape included.

The coat articulates well with the arms bending and feels nice to the touch. Flows down and off the accessories naturally. Pleasantly surprised. I can't see a third party company or artist doing much better to be honest, much less for the cost that they would charge for a coat like this.

The sculpt is also really nicely done. Doesn't match the sharpness of the prototype but I'd say it's on par with Hot Toys recent really well done sculpts like Holland.

The hair 100% needs to be futz with, at least on mine. The big problem I noticed right out of the container is that they applied too much product on the top of the head. Since the hair is pressed down onto the sculpt itself, the left and right side comes across looking really flat. It needs to float off of the head, have some volume and not be sandwiched down onto it. I feel like this is the biggest difference with the prototype in how this sculpt comes across in photos.

I took some water, a small soft make up brush and a flat head tweezer to pull the hair off of the sculpt. Helped bring out the likeness a bunch. It undoubtedly looks like Viggo/Aragorn to me. Easily the best Aragorn figure we'll see for a while.

Wish the coat draped and folded more, it almost looks starched like he’s just bought it.

*and the arms seem to stick out from the torso and fall completely vertical.

Seems to very much depend on lighting. He also seems to look better on camera based in this horrible kitchen lighting!

Like I said, I've literally just got him out, so hopefully with a little play I can revise my initial impression (just to reiterate, he is very good, i think my expectation was a little lofty in all the excitement).

I did find mine had a lot of product in the hair. Had to pull the hair about a bit to soften it up slightly, whereas I've seen some pics online where the hair looks too frizzy.

Thank you for this comparison!
It's indeed very interessting to see how the "right" lighting (from above) made the likeness so much better

A few quick shots straight out of the box. Looking at these close-ups I can see that the eyes require a little de-crossing, which I will sort out tonight. Overall I am pleased with the headsculpt. The likeness to Viggo is very strong, but the paint does seem a little flat for a product of this quality.

The outfit looks great to me, and it seems to drape really nicely when he's seated on Brego. I'll post some more pics when he's all kitted up and posed properly. Very happy with my purchase :giggle:
