Oddly they went with the more inaccurate head sculpt of the two.

The best use for the VTS John sculpt was behind a mask. It killed two birds because it didn't matter if the black dye stained the face:

The Arthur sculpt was much better.

I don't have any interest in the RDR games or characters themselves, and while the VTS set was only the warm up act during the wait for LIM's, it did have some useful and interesting parts to spread around various figures.

The weapons were really well made and included the rare Spencer carbine (which we'll be seeing again with Sideshow's Will Munny), then there was the fishing rod and fish. Not to forget the coon skin cap which actually works pretty well in hand.

What I don't understand is, if someone has the resources to make something like this, then why not go all the way and create one of the other characters from RDR instead of a crap boot leg? 🙄
This takes laziness to the next level.
I hope these bootlegs all fail miserably.

Lazy on all accounts. Even the horse has re-used one of the European saddles from their Peaky Blinders sets.

These brands don't care about the game or the characters, they're just trying to earn a quick buck off making bootlegs of successful products. Also, I doubt even the brands that do care want to take a gamble on making secondary characters.

It would be interesting to at least see more takes on Arthur or John, but I don't think anyone interested in doing them can justify making them again when two brands have already tackled them to great success.
