Perhaps the battle damaged version makes the most sense, any deterioration should be less noticeable on it.

Still, five years is a bit short,
it’d be different if this was a character like Ledger Joker where you know a superior version is likely imminent in those five years.

It’s possible this is the only 1:6 licensed Pfeiffer we get, so to spend $1k+ with the likelihood of not being able to upgrade when deterioration sets in is.. worrisome.

I get it’s the nature of the material, but is it worth it to throw $1k when you’re told it’s inevitably going to happen soon.

At least when an upgrade becomes available you don’t care as much about the deterioration of the old figure or the money spent.
That was 5 years in direct sunlight!

Should last many times longer than that if kept away from any extremes of light of heat.

“We have found a source that will guarantee it for 5 years even in direct sunlight. That is the best guarantee in the industry.”

Says “even in direct sunlight”, meaning,
the material at minimum should last five years, regardless of exposure to direct sunlight.

Five years is all JazzInc can promise you it’ll last,
due to the material. That’s the lifespan he was given for the material, it may last longer, may deteriorate sooner but it shouldn’t.

We have found a source that will guarantee it for 5 years even in direct sunlight. That is the best guarantee in the industry.

(And there it is, the ephemeral nature of this kind of figure. I have pleather that's over a decade old and still fine though).
Wait. Are they saying this thing could be deteriorating by 2031?

I am not sure if you are kidding or not, but let me be very clear. There is no supplier in the world that guarantees any of these fabrics for longer than five years, so getting a guarantee of five years in direct sunlight means it is the highest grade and does not mean it will deteriorate after five years but that they can guarantee it won’t deteriorate even indirect sunlight in five years. No other pleather, leather or latex material can get that same guarantee or better.

In short, and simple layman’s terms, this is literally the best material you can source

Exactly! and Inart's an already large and successful company who had already produced amazingly lifelike statues for a number of years. So if they are not immune to qc issues makes me even more worried for a very small and fresh company, I mean is Jazzinc just one guy? I don't know.
True-ish.
InArt are an entirely new branch of Queen Studios (the statue makers,) helmed by Viper- a baby-faced man/menace with a few custom figure runs (and a wrapsheet a mile long) in his resumé.

They’re a newly assembled team but would surely have some degree of guidance from the mother company regarding the mass production process.
From what we’ve seen though, it appears like InArt works quite independently from QS during the pre-production phase.

They work very closely together in the same large office, as you can see here on the walk around video

It’s a family run business who have been making vehicles for a while now. They aren’t new to this. It’s also not Joost and his family sitting in a room putting these figures together, they are going through artists and factories just like any other company does. There are skilled and experienced people across this entire project, not just one guy sitting at home in Denmark being delusional having no clue what he’s doing.
Who said it was him and his family putting them together? And who said he was a clueless and delusional guy?
By the way they are new to this though, its their first 1/6 release, and this is not a vehicle.
I'm well aware of the vehicles they have made and the problems some people have had with those vehicles.

This is not their first 1/6 release, it’s their first licensed 1/6 release. They released the Vulture years ago and that one actually came out pretty damn good.

Worked on this prototype for a Catwoman display and learned a few things moving forward but while the scale is close, I don't think I can go any smaller without compromising the clean cut lines of the intricate pattern. I'll also have to figure out what's the best size for this piece but I think it could function as both a prop for the specific scene or as a backdrop for Catwoman. If there's any interest, I'll probably do a small run if I can dial this down well.

Are you sure? One his FB page members yesterday told us after someone had a minor issue with this release, that Joost and his family are "literally killing themselves to get these products made for us to enjoy" so it sounds a bit more than what you describe.

And I keep my figures for a lot longer, I still have my Enterbay T800 from 12 years ago and its still as perfect as the day I bought it, so just 5 years guarantee is another reason for me not to buy

I completely understand everyone has their own tolerances and reasons for buying or not buying, but some of you guys overthink this hobby way too much lol.

I usually don’t mind your takes btw.

Exactly, I wouldn’t be all that worried if another licensed Pfeiffer Catwoman was in the near future,
but the fact is we have no evidence of that.

JazzInc put it up, yet zero response from HT.
I don’t see InArt having any interest in the Keaton Batman films, regardless if they have or have not obtained the license. Besides if they were to, you can bet it would come after Bale and Affleck which even those two are years out. Keaton Batman doesn’t sell well in Asia according to the small batch of the new ‘89 2.0 either.

Regardless, it doesn’t matter who produces one,
they will all deteriorate quicker than the majority of costumes, doesn’t matter if they obtain the same material JazzInc has or worse. This is the reason I only join expensive custom clothing runs that feature materials that will stand the test of time.
A $600 Armani Bale Bruce Wayne custom suit will be in my possession for as long as I desire, in just as good shape as the day I am to receive it.
