I would like to have seen an outfit that closely matched what is visible in ANH merged with the full outfit seen in his bigger role in the SWHS.

In other words, in 2.5 hours, less than 500 people have ordered.

There was a time, and a price, when this would have sold out in minutes.
Think about how artisan anakin sold out 4000 in under 15 minutes. I think that was the number. I understand this isn’t anakin. However, 500 is minuscule and it’s still not sold out. Sideshow may have overpriced and overestimated how many ot fans the hobby has left.

Just not a great character choice. There are "blink and miss 'em" SW characters that capture the imagination of fans but this just isn't one of them.

Hammerhead, Greedo, Snaggletooth and Walrusman aren't just classic because of Kenner - they are also terrific designs for alien creatures; very realistic looking, believable, freakish and otherworldly.

Labria on the other hand is pretty clearly what it was - a cheap devil Halloween mask that somehow landed a brief cameo in the most iconic SW scene of all time. It's a shot that evokes more giggles (albeit yes, in a cool way, in the spirit of the fun of the cantina) than wonder or fear.

Yeah, Labria, Werewolf, and several others were funny but not very cool. I never cared for Dr. Evazan myself either.

Hammerhead, Greedo, Nabrun Leids and Mosep Bineed were among the better creations.

Nabrun Leids is the one they should have gone for if they were going to venture beyond Kenner. But that's engineering a four armed body and a complex shiny-silvered bodysuit so likely beyond the budget.

Even though all of that would have made the $275 pricepoint make sense.

That would have been a $400 figure for SS!😳😳

I went ahead and ordered already since I ordered the others and I’m planning on getting them all, but I doubt this sells out before it ships (even at only 500).

Well don’t I look like a fool. Surprised it sold that fast! I was going to wait until Friday to order so I could use all my Spooktacular points. Good thing I didn’t.

Wow. They actually did it.

I initially planned to wait until after Spooktacular to use as many rewards as possible, though when I saw he was limited to only 500 I pre-ordered straight away.

When did it go to waitlist? I was going to wait and use points too. Now I just had to get on the waitlist. :tap

I didnt even know this went up for pre-order but randomly checked sideshow this morning when I woke up, saw it, and ordered.

Why do you think they decided to limit just this one? I saw someone on social media was demanding their NRDs back on the other three since he missed out on this. Do you think they’re kicking themselves for not doing 750-1000 instead?

It stayed available for around 12-18 hours so I'm not sure how much more they would've sold. I think the higher the ES the more people would've decided not to get it. There's some FOMO in that 500 ES that sucked some people in. Me, I was already all in on the group, so I was stupid before the marketing ploy :)

Been away for a couple of days. Annoyed to find out it went up for PO and sold out in less than a day, though I'm hopeful this was a ploy by SS to get people to buy early, and the waitlist will convert.

The hours it took for this to sell out and the 500 limit has me worried about the Jabbas palace figures. I really want skiff guards. Sideshow might not produce them if these are not selling.
Of course, they would never take into account their quality control history and insane price gouging on bare bones figures. Hot toy’s prices for sideshow figures doesn’t fly when ht has approximately 752,578,085 figures set to release in 2025.
The release of dr evazan will be telling. If he has a 500 limit then we know this line was a bust sales wise.

If the figure actually looked as cool as this, with the same subtle skin tones, I might have been tempted. But they made him look so cartoonish there's no way I could have him mixed in with my other SW figures.
