I can't think of a more appropriate day for this to arrive than Halloween - the very night Voldemort goes to Godric's Hallow, kills Harry's family, gives him his scar and sets in motion the plot of the books/films.....
Harry arrived today and honestly I am beyond blown away.
The figure itself is wonderful, so high quality, the clothes are beautiful and all have the right drape and weight to them, having gone to an old-school English grammar school I can tell you the uniform [sans the robes] are absolutely spot on!
The winter cloak and scarf are beautiful and I look forward to changing up the display to showcase them - maybe sometime close to Christmas.
The head sculpt is incredible - an absolute dead-ringer for young Daniel Radcliffe, I love the scar on his head - its quite visible while remaining subtle [its more visible in person than it is on camera], it has the shine to it old scars have IRL and looks like a "real" scar as opposed to something that might be more easily visible but look less natural - its well done.
The eyes are very life-like and again are a dead ringer for DR.
unquestionably the best part of all this though is the accessories and diorama - the diorama alone is worth the price of the deluxe, the nicest diorama I own and the fabric on the walls to recreate the tapestry effect is so clever.
Love the diorama from every angle, so I have it at an angle so I can see both sides of it depending on where I am in the room.
The books and written material accessories are awesome - the clear standout in a story/emotional level is the picture book Hagrid gives him with a pic of Harry's parents and friends - choosing to do these with lenticular pictures is a stroke of genius, such a heartfelt little accessory I felt oddly touched by.
The textbooks having different printing on every page is INSANE and frankly Its a shame that without posing Harry holding one open its nigh-impossible to show off - but when I get Hermione I will pose her off with these to showcase the details.
Love the letters - almost wish they gave us 2 of the envelope so i could display it with both the address side and the Hogwarts seal on the inverse. Fun fact the letters contain both of the supply lists for Philosopher's Stone as well as The Chamber of Secrets [a LOT of Gilderoy Lockhart books] also it kind of blows my mind that I can read the letters so clearly!
Hedwig looks wonderful and her cage is really well done and high quality.
The broom shocked me with how well it looks in person, they use real bristles and metal hoops to bind the broom like they would do in real life traditionally.
The Sorting Hat looks so good I really debated with myself for a while on whether to display it on Harry or not, brilliant accessory.
Chocolate Frogs and cards are ace! The Frog box feels like a type of plastic rather than cardboard which is a good idea for longevity.
The lamp is AWESOME, not sure how I am gonna display it yet but I love it.
Got Harry posed with his wand at the ready and holding the Stone, bit of a "light" action pose
This was, BY FAR, the best unboxing experience from Inart I've had yet, the sheer amount of accessories and care and love in all the pieces of the figure blew me away - in fact its got me so in the mood I am rewatching the movie right now!
The box is also quite lovely in my opinion, the embossed white cover with the House symbols is very classy and the Philosopher's Stone decal/detail on the front having a lenticular effect with Harry's face appearing in the depths of the stone is so clever, subtle and tasteful.
The box is much too large to be displayed though.
A homerun IMO by Inart.
I am very fortunate to say mine has no QC issues as far as I can tell, and the wrist pegs on mine seem to work perfectly fine.
I might prefer if the PERS was a little stiffer, it moves with the smallest stray touch ATM, but now I have it as I want it frankly I see no need to mess with it again.
